Jesmond Dene, does it charge?

Thinking of going here this week after seeing pics on Facebook, however is it internal grounds that you have to pay for? Or is it free?

I think it used to be Lord Armstrong's back garden.

Used to love it when I was taken there as a child. I thought it was the wilderness!

Love walking through Jesmond Dene, if you've a mind to you can carry on through the dene to Armstrong and Heaton Parks, and down Warwick Avenue, which takes you past the original football pitch of Newcastle East End FC and down past The Cluny and Ouseburn area to the Tyne.

That’s true, the Jesmond set won’t like smelly mackems spoiling the ambience as they sip their Frappuccino’s and look at lentil catalogues.

Be careful where you throw your empty monster munch packets.
