Nobody is threatening my daughter. If someone made threats rather than posting bollocks then I’d deal with any threats.
The internet is awash with fantasists who believe their opinion is worthwhile but isn’t. I did think your post was a little odd. I’m sure you were trying to make a point but it was a very clumsy way of doing it.
Not sure how you showed my hypocrisy because I thought Clarkson’s comment was slightly amusing.
Dear me.Yeah, it was clumsy so I reported myself. To be clear, I'm not dreaming of having your daughter publicly humiliated and harmed by a braying mob.
Even if you do find that kind of thing funny.
I'd wad still watch it but he isn't cut out for it.A poor mans Tarrant imo.Should be sacked cos he's ruined a good show.
Dear me.
No daughters were harmed by Clarkson or me finding his remark funny.Just other people's daughters, obvs.
Not directly, but it's yet another high profile example of the gradual misogynistic degradation of women in general. Some people (almost always men) just laugh it off as can be seen throughout this entire thread. However, it is harmful and it is not acceptable. No daughters were harmed by Clarkson or me finding his remark funny.

I asked a while ago asking why is it unacceptable for an employee (or contractor) to write in an email what Clarkson wrote, yet it is perfectly OK for it to be sanctioned, encouraged and rewarded in a national newspaper. Nobody could answer.
I think everybody on here would agree that the person who writes those exact words about a woman in a work email will be disciplined, perhaps sacked. Yet here we are (some of us) saying "Oh he was just joking, isn't he funny? He's just a cheeky Chappy" etc.
I can do nothing about it other than not read Clarkson's drivel, but I wouldn't buy The Sun anyway. It's a comic for people who can't deal with a paragraph of more than 3 sentences. I post reasonable objections on here and get the occasional like on my posts, but mostly get mocked and criticised. Says a lot about society I think.
As I pointed out earlier in the thread, many people just don’t see it.Where is this gradual misogynistic degradation of women occurring? I think women have much freer and liberated lives than their parents and grandparents.
Perhaps your maths is better than mine, but I counted three.Clarkson’s remarks weren’t against women. They were about one woman.
Was I wrong about The Sun? Or just "in the wrong" to write it?Love the disparaging remarks for the Sun readers of the world.
Clarkson is employed (or at least paid) by The Sun.Employment and life are different arenas. I would hate to have to conduct myself in private as I do when working.
You get a little mocked because come across over the top and a tad pompous. You do the same on any religion thread.
It's not about being offended. It is about aresholes like Clarkson encouraging the acceptance that women are inferior. That is a dangerous thing to have in society. Why should we curtain freedom of speech because someone is offended?
It’s not a physical thing like getting punched - it’s a mental choice to be offended. You have to decide to be offended.
I choose not to be. It’s much better for you than being angry about everything.
Peace to all and Merry Christmas folks.
I disagree but I wish you and yours a great Christmas.Yes you have mentioned this several times. Again, thanks for your contribution.
You regard objection to misogyny as over the top and you don't see the problem in society, despite several murders of women by men recently and despite almost any reference to a female on this message board having to be accompanied by "WAD" or "Phwoar" or "Wadn't" etc. You're certainly not alone to behave like this.

He isn't stupid. He knows his fan club will lap it up. He gets paid to do this and he doesn't care about any consequences.
For those that refuse to acknowledge the problem, I suspect it also comes from insecurity.
Merry Christmas to you too.

Which bit, out of interest, do you disagree with?I disagree but I wish you and yours a great Christmas.
have a little research project going to find the recent females who have murdered men. Rose West and Myra Hindley apart (who killed children or females and were following the lead of a male) I haven't managed to find many.
Yes, and how many of them at the hands of other men?Men are at least 50% more likely to be victims of violent crime.
I don't see that happen anywhere near as often. Just quietly bear it in mind for the next few months when photos of women, or articles about women get posted and look at the replies.I don't get the problem with this? Do you have an issue with female posters making comments about 'not kicking xxx out of bed?' I wish someone would explain this to me...
Yeah.... like I have said, the fact so many males cannot see this is part of the problem.Males have a greater biological propensity for violence. They are also on average more physically able to dominate a vulnerable victim. This is about biology, not misogyny.
I don't see that happen anywhere near as often.
