Jeremy Clarkson will remain the host on Who wants to be a millionaire

You can post whatever you like.

I wouldn't want people posting shit like that Harry, but if you're happy to have people threatening your daughter then fair dos.
You took a gamble there writing something so obscene directed at another poster's daughter. I get what you're trying to do but it's not close enough to being parallel. Can you not see how the lack of reference point (ie. Game of Thrones) makes this worse?

You're right. On reflection, it's not worth having something so vile under my name, even if it is just to show the poster's hypocrisy. I've asked the mods to take it down.

I don't think it was a very good barometer of hypocrisy anyway.

The bloke is an absolute whopper, which is a bit of a shame
We need less whoppers.
The men in the cabinet are equally useless but nobody usually criticises them for being unattractive or badly dressed. That’s the difference women face.
Boris Johnson has been criticised for his hair, ill fitting suits and weight. But I get your point.
Can't help but like the fella. A bit outspoken at times but generally says what most folk are thinking.
Are you sure? I don't know anyone who has though what Clarkson wrote.

Nobody is threatening my daughter. If someone made threats rather than posting bollocks then I’d deal with any threats.
The internet is awash with fantasists who believe their opinion is worthwhile but isn’t. I did think your post was a little odd. I’m sure you were trying to make a point but it was a very clumsy way of doing it.
Not sure how you showed my hypocrisy because I thought Clarkson’s comment was slightly amusing.

Shame on ITV, he should have been sacked. Any normal person would have been sacked if they’d put that in print at their place of work.
First of all he didn’t say it on ITV - what has it got to do with them?

Secondly, he didn’t put it in print. The editor for the Sun put it in print.

Comedians nowadays have to explain to audiences that they are only joking and that they are using techniques to laugh at something that they too find abhorrent but are still going to make a joke.

Jim Jeffries, Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr and now Clarkson. We seem to have become a nation of big softies.

How the fuck do a bunch of middle aged blokes know so much about a young woman and why the fuck are you so obsessed with her?

And now some spenk is mentioning Jim Jeffries and Clarkson in the same sentence

Forty years ago it was Bernard Manning, Jim Davidson and Roy Chubby Brown

Those were the days

I think he spelled Peter Kay wrong

what a weird world we live in.

some think that words have absolutely no consequence when said. Others think that words are so hurtful that they will suffer mental health issues (most commonly used phrase around now).

others trot out words that have no real meaning but are listed in the pre-prepared list of statements for example - we are truly sorry.

we all know that is bollocks., they are not really sorry they are just sorry they got caught out.

we have lost the ability to see that line, that marks the border between civility and incivility.

We have lost the ability to think before we speak and to think, no that is being rude and hurtful

when something is said that we dont like, calls are made to bring in the police to investigate

when that happens we are in an oppressed police state.

proportionality was a word that I liked, but seems to have got thrown out of the window.

we dont live in a very nice place.

So nothing to do with him then.
Makes you wonder why he felt the need to apologise.
The post I was replying to was shaming ITV for not sacking him. I've never denied it isnt anything to do with him.

He apologised as if you are a media personality these days and you don't - thats your career over. The social media outrage crew want blood in situations like this and they are relentless. What does an apology even mean these days anyway if its not done in person? A tweet of apology to who? Megan & Harry? Has Megan accepted it? Its just the thing to do in order to stop the frothy mob.

Miriam Margolyes wished Boris Johnson dead the other month, but was on the BBC the other night. I'm assuming you also think the BBC are a disgrace and she should be sacked. Or is all this hysteria political again?

Great post mate. Have a like.

Oh well, it's not as if we have a problem with violence against women and girls in this country. I mean, he only said he wanted her to be forcibly stripped naked and walked down the street so strangers could throw shit at her.
Sounds more fetishistic than violent, to be honest.

WWTBAM is the greatest quiz show ever devised. Chris Evans has spent years trying to develop something better and failed.

Clarkson is a great host and I repeat, people who have taken his remarks about Meghan literally are being daft.

I think it was misguided to say those things but my view is some of the blame lies with his Sub Editor who approved the content.

Some of the comments on this thread by posters on here are far worse than the article Jeremy wrote.
