I don’t remember seeing that either.
My parents used to watch Coronation Street, but I don’t think I’ve seen it since I moved out there in 1995. My and the missus did watch Eastenders for a while, as it was what was on when we had tea. But then we started to get fed up and started buying DVD box sets. A few years later we got sky+ (about 2006) and for us that was the end of watching soaps or any other time filler. These days we don’t have sky or a tv ariel.
I thought they would die out and most people just watched them because they were on. Now whats on and watching TV live seems like an alien concept. Looks like lots of people still follow them.
