I've been giving this quite a bit of thought since I first read it earlier - I think Modric offers more. He maybe doesn't chip in with as many goals, but he's the fulcrum. He works harder and does more. De Bruyne is probably more suited to his more advanced role because of his final ball and shooting ability, but Modric still has that in his locker, along with a decent amount of defensive abilitity as well, and he can dictate a game. De Bruyne has age on his side these days fair enough, but Modric still gets through forty-odd games a season for Real Madrid.kevin de bruyne
Isco defo up there like

It's a tough one, but all things being equal, I'd take Luka Modric.
may not agree but to call it bollock to say he;s the bestin the world is wrong as the 4 Champions Leagues he has won will attest (2nd only to Ronaldo on the all time winners list)World Cup 2018: Why England must stop world's best midfielder to reach final

Passing, shooting, and dictating a game.Better at what?
He is likeFor proper central midfielders I’m struggling to think of many on par with him. De Bruyne & Kroos are the only ones I can think of.
Jenas really isn’t far off the mark to be honest.
Nope.He is like
YepNope.
Course we can. Denmark did a very good job of it.Read that expecting him to maybe say something positive about England at some stage (you know, how we can stop him, who is likely to step up and keep him quiet etc) but nope, just a whole article that you'd think he'd written with Modric's cock in his mouth. He's a very good player, but I think we can handle him and the rest of his teammates
Matter of opinion I supppose. When I'd worry about De Bruyne is in those games he doesn't affect, when he's not getting a lot of touches on the ball. Is that a consequence of the more advanced role in which he usually flourishes whereby his teammates aren't getting the ball to him enough, or is it because he's not putting himself about enough and coming for the ball. It's not a concern I think you'd ever have with a player as hardworking and consistent as Modric.Great post mate, you’re wrong but good effort![]()
Tackling, breaking up a game, tracking back, stopping players like Modric doing above??Passing, shooting, and dictating a game.

I'm more worried about Rakitic, he looks a player to me.
He only wrote it to brag about when he played with him at spurs
