Jeff Stelling walk in memory of TVOR

I have put this on the SMB board but thought it should have its own on here - If I could ask those of you who knew Ted and know people in the cricket world who would like to donate please pass this on.

A couple of weeks ago a number of us got together to have a pint for Ted Hodgkiss to give him his real name. We only found out that night that Ted succumbed to Prostrate Cancer something he had hid from all of us. Three of use have decided to do the Jeff Stelling walk which starts by walking away from St James's Park - and then to the two places Ted loved in his sports Durham County Cricket ground and The Stadium of Light. I have signed up for the 26 mile walk and will be doing this on the 30th August. If I could ask if anyone would like to sponsor me the just giving page link is above with the proceeds going to prostrate cancer uk.

Thanks in advance

So finished the walk yesterday raised £1421. The four of us that did it in Ted’s memory raised in excess of £5000. Many thanks to those of you who supported either myself or Billy. May see you at the weekend.
God bless you PM, for the effort you’ve put in and the money raised. I miss Ted very much. This place isn’t the same without him. Nor is club cricket.

Earlier in the summer I cycled along to Bishop and Brandon were playing cricket. My initial thought was where’s Ted and Littletown at today - about a half a mile further on I had to stop for a moment when I realised what I’d thought. The first Sunderland home game was also a bit strange without him being there. I miss my verbal sparing partner.

I miss him telling me how bad the shot that I got to was.

last time I spoke to him was at our end of season pitch renovations last year. I was told I was and I quote “a massive knacker” for being banned off the SMB.
