Will be much better than Coates so that's a plus already, it's a shame Kaboul is injured he was just getting to his best. The trouble will be getting a good understanding with each other at the back, if you have to many new faces throw straight in then it may take a few weeks to settle in which is time we don't have but they may just hit it off from the start so fingers crossed.

Has to be better than Coates! Just have to hope he is fit and can cope with the physical demands of the league.

Just seen the bit on sky sports where they use stats from fm to show the player, he had 19 rated pace let's hope that's true in reality, would be very nice to hav a bit pace at centre back.

Absolutely no interest in how fast he is, just how good he is.

Biggest myth on this board is this pacey centre back nonsense.

Cheap enough to take à chance on. Hopefully he comes good.
He is cheap and full of unfulfilled potential. If this lad can stay fit he should be our best centre back for the next 5 years. Looking on the German forums they don't have anything bad to say about him except for his injuries. That is a big if though because he hasn't been injury free for some time.

1 million isn't exactly much of a gamble. Only downside is, with the lack of play time he won't be up to speed and we need players ready asap at the minute.

BSA has apparently been to watch him train three times so must like the look of the lad and hopefully will have ensured that his injury history has been thoroughly checked out. At the fee mentioned its a smallish gamble with a potentially huge dividend. A risk worth taking occasionally but with a few similar sick notes in our squad it is riskier for us than it might be for other teams.
yep.

Have to put trust in Big Sam. He knows what he's doing.
