Jan Kirchhoff

He has talent. No doubt. Young and got good attributes. For the money it is probably worth the risk. Should have to get him fit. He has been on the bench if late so that looks better.
Clearly a talent to even be on the bench for bayern! Obviously had injury problems but suppose we wouldn't have the chance to sign hin otherwise. Lets hope he keeps fit.

There's two videos of this Jan kirchoff on yootoob one of which is an own goal to rival Vergini's (as shown earlier in this thread) and the other is a short clip of him touching his tiddle whilst waiting to come on as sub. Based on that he should be a good signing.
Altidore had a compilation of his 40 goals in Holland and he turned out shite. Maybe no compilation is a good sign

That's it mate. We need someone to come in and start ASAP. Straight in, no excuse.
Lots of people saying they hadn't heard of the lad but I still don't recognise a lot of the Leicester players, Bournemouth and Norwich have maybe 4 or 5 between them that I am familiar with but they are competing at the top level. Having said that I don't remember the last 'unknown' type player we signed who was a success in any way.

I thought Allardyce had said we need players who can step in and do an immediate job for us and that in our position we haven't got time to wait for signings to bed in? Signing players with no Premier League experience doesn't seem to fit that bill.

Just been on sky sports that the deal is close... Better late then never lads

Also said he was struggling to get players from English clubs so had to look abroad. Suppose even players abroad with previous experience if the premier league would be good but it probably narrows the options too much. I'm on two minds with the names we've been linked with, I want to think positively but they seem to match the calibre of players we've signed over the past however many windows that have ultimately took us to where we are now.

Bayern and Schalke rated him plus beggars can't be choosers. I never heard of that Woilsend (sp) at Stoke but if Kirchoff turns out like him then we have a gem!

I'm not sure where it said he was comfortable on the ball, he is a big lump but he can play Defensive Midfield I believe.

Good Player, Id be happy although assume this means no more Kone.
That's the way It reads in certain articles, Kone being our first choice, we love a cheap injury prone gamble, we have a dressing room full of them.

Will be much better than Coates so that's a plus already, it's a shame Kaboul is injured he was just getting to his best. The trouble will be getting a good understanding with each other at the back, if you have to many new faces throw straight in then it may take a few weeks to settle in which is time we don't have but they may just hit it off from the start so fingers crossed.

I thought he was quite good when he used to play for Mainz a few years ago but I've not seen him play for years. I have no idea whether he would be a good signing or not but at least he has a little pedigree I suppose
