BSA has been to watch the lad train. I also think he'll know about his injuries. BSA is many things, stupid isn't one of them.
It doesn't matter how good a footballer you are if you can't get onto the pitch talent is a waste of time.

If he is comfortable on the ball, could he also play as a midfield anchor (or at least an option) to support M'Vila and Catts, and help M'Vila have a freer role?

I'm not sure where it said he was comfortable on the ball, he is a big lump but he can play Defensive Midfield I believe.

Good Player, Id be happy although assume this means no more Kone.

No think we are after 2 central defenders and a full back.

He has talent. No doubt. Young and got good attributes. For the money it is probably worth the risk. Should have to get him fit. He has been on the bench if late so that looks better.

Think we're after two centre backs. Kirchoff can also play in midfield.

Flits between centre half and defensive midfielder anarl.

The only positive I can see is he's cheap.

Aye. He will obviously get a chance but that shouldn't mean that people are not allowed to discuss the transfer. That's what this place is for. Just a hope for the best deal I think. Good to see that BSA has been to see him train a few times. Hopefully he is fit to go straight in.

As always, any player that comes to us isnt going to be perfect. Due to both financial constraints and the fact we arent an attractive proposition for many means we have to look in the damaged goods section, however, Kirchoff has spent the last 3 years at one of the biggest clubs in the world - he was obviously there for a reason and his experience there can only be a positive for a club like us.

If Allardyce thinks he's an improvement, and our medical staff think he is fine, then I look forward to him signing.
A large part of the medical assessment involves honest answers from players...mri/ct /ultrasound can help but in the end it comes down to medical examination so when it comes down to 40,000 a week a nagging pain will disapear until the contracts signed! There is a difference betwean a player not getting a game at a big club because there are better players there and a player not getting a game because he cannot get fit......from that article he looks more of a rodwell than a mvilla.,.so on that basis im out! However you are right we have to put faith in BSA all i will say is that if he does come the money he gets will be depandant on games played so if hes a sicknote he wont get as much money but thats no good for us we need a good player who is able to play till the end of the season!,,After 10 years in the prem why are we still shit?It is a fekking disgrace!where has all the money gone?

There's two videos of this Jan kirchoff on yootoob one of which is an own goal to rival Vergini's (as shown earlier in this thread) and the other is a short clip of him touching his tiddle whilst waiting to come on as sub. Based on that he should be a good signing.
