A German who's good on the ball at the back. I love it. I'm going to have to apologise in advance though as I think I like Jan so much it could turn into an unhealthy Piston/Colback type relationship haha. Welcome Jan HAWAY !!!

Massive risk but for clubs at our level to attract a decent calibre of player it will always need to be with the caveat of some element of risk. M'Vila on paper was a huge risk.

If we had been in for Bojan when Stoke were most on here, me included, would have had reservations but look how that's worked out.

Provided the signing isn't at the expense of other, more 'safe', signings then I'd say it's a risk worth taking.

We were in for Bojan but for £5500 a week more he went to Stoke, He was at the SOL all day going over terms with Pini his agent then got a call from SFX on behalf of Stoke and offered more money so he went there. FACT

BSA has apparently been to watch him train three times so must like the look of the lad and hopefully will have ensured that his injury history has been thoroughly checked out. At the fee mentioned its a smallish gamble with a potentially huge dividend. A risk worth taking occasionally but with a few similar sick notes in our squad it is riskier for us than it might be for other teams.

I love the way Sunlan fans who've never heard of a player before we sign them suddenly become experts on their football ability and medical records.

Are you the safc transfer negotiator ?Often looking at his medical history can help you understand how injury prone he is. Just saying like hew. Rodwell may have been avoided with this approach.

Can he be any worse than Coates, an aging brown and an ageing before our eyes jos?. Although I though brown looked OK the other day he simply can't be relied upon to play game after game and the thought of Coates being first choice for large parts scares me.

I'm as ignorant about the bloke as you are. I'm happy to admit it.

Is he a tampon player? In one week and out for the next four?

no one can really say until we've seen him play.

Hopefully Sam is a better judge of player than Congerton.

The OP should send this to BSA. I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole unless it was no fee and a pay as you play agreement.

If he is comfortable on the ball, could he also play as a midfield anchor (or at least an option) to support M'Vila and Catts, and help M'Vila have a freer role?
