Jamie Vardy

One thing that is annoying me lately is these minimum fee release clauses, as shown here with Vardy (and Kante)

Football agents see how much smaller Premier League clubs are making in £££ and thus are able to reject offers from big clubs.
They will be desperate to prevent John Stones/Saido Berahino type situations where the selling club can resist all offers.

They will become all the rage in the next few years with the big TV deal, imo.

 bookmarked. The club might want a higher release clause but if it's a choice between a £22million release clause or Vardy not signing a new deal I'm pretty sure the club would just accept the clause and offer him the contract.

p.s. he's just a shit Harry Kane anyway.

Well I'm almost certain that he didn't have a release clause in his previous contract so on £40k a week with 2.5 years left on his previous contract he's hardly in a position to insist on a release clause that low when the club are offering him £80k a week which improves to £100k if we won the title for him to sign for an extra year. Think about it.

Vardy is top class, arguably the best striker in the country apart from Aguero.

£22m is pocket change for a striker of his quality that got 24 goals and 6 assists in the PL last season, Leicester wouldn't contemplate selling at that price as he is irreplaceable to us, to get a striker as good as him is extremely difficult for us as they wont join Leicester despite us being Champions of England.

I don't believe the minimum fee release clause would be set as low as this either. He had 2.5 years left on his contract in January and the club wouldn't have gave him a huge rise and an extra year to put in such a low release clause. Totally not worried about this in the slightest.
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Has Rafa Beneathus approved this bid like?
Thought Vardy would be sold by the jordie nations unbelievable passion and take the step down. Be in the champions league a couple of years anarl!

considering you aren't aware of this release clause, I'm surprised you know the details of his weekly wage.

 you should be snapping thier hands off man and spending the money on someone a few years younger.

Like who?

Would you want Sunderland to sell their 29 year old striker who has been on a massive upward curve for the last five years and just netted 24 goals and 6 assists in the PL?

He has low miles on the clock for a 29 year old and I expect him to maintain this level for another 2-3 years. We have a chance to force ourselves into one of the top clubs in England and we have no chance of doing that if we wet our knickers every time a club puts £20m offers in for our very top players.

low mileage  been playing midweek and weekends for the years.

Will probably happen, it's a load of shit for the non "elite" man.

Leicester will have the 13th highest income in world football next season, the days of us selling our top players will fully are gone.

I'd be seriously worried if i was an Arsenal fan if Vardy is being signed as their main striker.

Just spend that bit extra and buy Morata or Higuain.

Leicester have enquired about Morata, we are looking to spend to get better not sell the family silver.

Never went through an academy and only took the game up seriously at 23. His legs are nearer a 25 year old for wear and tear.

Gonna be a class card on Ultimate Team in FIFA 17 but can not see this going well for him, other than the money he will get.

Fair enough quote but no one knows what goes on in the head of some players.

The other thing is, (and this goes for SAFC as well mind), I can't imagine many players growing up dreaming of playing for Leicester and despite being worthy champions some players will have their head turned by so called 'bigger more popular teams'. I hope they don't go as I'm interested to see how next season goes for Leicester.
