Jamie Vardy

Vardy is top class, arguably the best striker in the country apart from Aguero.

£22m is pocket change for a striker of his quality that got 24 goals and 6 assists in the PL last season, Leicester wouldn't contemplate selling at that price as he is irreplaceable to us, to get a striker as good as him is extremely difficult for us as they wont join Leicester despite us being Champions of England.

I don't believe the minimum fee release clause would be set as low as this either. He had 2.5 years left on his contract in January and the club wouldn't have gave him a huge rise and an extra year to put in such a low release clause. Totally not worried about this in the slightest.

You have fully turned into a Mag now mind.

 bookmarked. The club might want a higher release clause but if it's a choice between a £22million release clause or Vardy not signing a new deal I'm pretty sure the club would just accept the clause and offer him the contract.

p.s. he's just a shit Harry Kane anyway.

This 100%, as shit as it is for any club on the up.

Can't see Wenger getting his teams to smack long balls behind for him to chase after. Teams would also sit back giving him no room to run into. Doesn't suit arsenal of all teams one bit

the player (or more so his agent) holds 100% of the power in these situations. If the player was shite or a bit-part player then it's in the player's interest to accept anything that is offered.

Where is this from? Only thing I can see is from a twitter account called Transfer centre live.
A fair few others reporting it now.

Back again, oh and let's see

Imagine if Vardy, Kante and, Mahrez were all sold......what's the point in getting to where Leicester are then selling all your best players.

I'd happily sell Rodders, Buckley and Borini if it meant we'd won the league a month previous.

I'd be seriously worried if i was an Arsenal fan if Vardy is being signed as their main striker.

Just spend that bit extra and buy Morata or Higuain.

They're absolutely desperate for a top-class striker yet this would be just so typical Wenger in recent years.

Firstly

Your second point... We thought that about SKP (who was better than Vardy by the way). Turned down an £18m bid from Spurs, he went for less than £4m 18 months later.

We took the money with Bent and in hindsight was the right decision.

Vardy is an excellent player, but for £22m and approaching 30 as a speed merchant. Snap their hands off
