James McClean

This. Apparently Meyler was as good as Yaya Toure in his prime last night.
Meyler, Murphy, McClean would easily get into our team now. But at the time they weren't good enough and we did replace them with better. All 3 of them wouldn't have got into the squad when Allardyce was here and probably struggle to get into the team under Moyes.

The only reason people bring up McClean is to get bites because of his 'beliefs'. If it wasn't for them no one would bother with these threads.

They've just deservedly finished 2nd in their group and qualified for the Euros in 2016. He's not doing to bad for someone who is finished

And plays at a lower level and can't get in the national side ahead of him. I wonder why?
Because he's older and MON prefers McClean. The point still stands about ability

Firstly, it's Derry.

Say it with me.

"Derry".

Secondly, it's Irish. Just because the British like to colonize and claim things that don't belong, it doesn't make it theirs.
It depends what side you are on. If you are a loyalists bellend it's Londonderry. If you are a Republican bellend it's Derry.

TBH it's a stupid pointless argument. Just call it what you want.

It does and its Londonderry they're a both fact

The hamfisted way in which the club handled the poppy issue was beyond incompetent. No-one in their right mind who had a choice, as he did, would stay with an insensitive employer who would put them through that ordeal.

All power to the lad.

Had McClean not carried on like an idiot on Social Media beforehand, I think he would have been allowed to make a statement. I don't really blame the club because there was a possibility he'd say something completely disastrous when provoked on Twitter.

O'Neill had publicly asked him not to Tweet and it hadn't stopped him in the past. If he felt that strongly about making a statement, he would have anyway.

At the end of the day, he has matured and turned into a half decent player, so fair play to him for maturing and getting his career back on track.

Doesn't change the fact that the lad is an utter cretin. You can have beliefs, that's fine - but to publically air them knowing that it will rile people up is what makes him a wanker (bowing his head when god save the queen comes on for instance). What can you expect though, he's thick as fuck.

And why wouldn't he? 4 goals in his last 4 competitive away games for McClean. He's a better option than McGeady
I don't disagree rocks was just making a point about McGeady's skill and footballing ability in comparison to McClean. Chill

Careful Rocky don't talk sense. McClean is the anti-christ and the worst footballer that's ever lived. Did you knah he never wears a poppy on his shirt? Hang im.

 So you can have beliefs unless you express unpopular ones?
