Again! All this back turnings gonna make the lad dizzy.
If the other ones been deleted and Ive played some part in its deletion then can the mods just delete my posts on the subject?

Mebbes so, mebbes not.
Lets face it if he felt so strongly about it he wouldnt be ower here money or not. Like Lee Clarke signing for us then wanting away to avoid playing against Newcastle: If he was that much of a mag he wouldnt of signed for us in the first place. Ditto McLean........unless of course theres a reason behind it all.....

He's making the best career out of it for himself but at the same time he's not compromising his beliefs or stance to satisfy a tiny number of bigots. The Union flag and God Save The Queen have a lot of negative connotations surrounding it for nationalist people in Ulster. In his mind it's not his anthem or flag, it's the anthem and flag of British Imperialism. It's not like he took a Union Jack out and set it alight. Some people need to get a grip.

With every reply you mention theres a % of people who dont like GSTQ etc. FFS we know that man we're not fuckin idiots on here you know!
You then proceed to mention bigotry which Mclean is half way down the road to anyway.
As I mention upthread if he feels that strongly he should play elsewhere. Obviously his (or someone elses) love/need for money is greater than his principles. Its a shame for him and his family that he'll never get as many people talking about his football as he does his Seamus Dean impression.

A Republican apologist calling people bigots. Quality.

@Il Bomber is avoiding this point. I wonder why?

Wonder what he'll do if the Baggies make it to a cup final next season.

Pulis is Welsh isnt he? If Pulis wasnt a holiday home burner back in the 70s then he may not get near the pitch!:lol: TBH I cant imagine Pulis putting up with any more of Mcleans bollocks nivver mind if they get to Wembley.

It's all about moving away from the past imo,if sinn fein can lay wreaths with unionists and stand for gstq and the queen can stand at the garden of rememberence in dublin then why can't footballers do the same
We should never forget what happened in Ireland on all sides but if you want to move forward and remove this cycle of hatred you have to respect each other including flags, anthems and culture

What happened in the past is done now, the politicians have kissed and made up.

The people in Ulster have to make their own beds now. Unfortunately, there is still minority who can't find it within themselves not to paint the kerbs red white and blue or green white and gold or erect peace walls.

James McClean is not a very intelligent man, after all he is a footballer, and cannot see how negative his actions are.

Positive action is required to prevent the dark forces returning.

Great post.

He can't have it both ways. If he feels that strongly then he shouldn't work and live in the UK. Nobody is saying what happened wasn't wrong but he needs to understand it happened and there's been a shit ton of effort made to get past it and try and make things better.

What he's doing is only making things worse.
