Ok. I'm sorry you don't have the the money to pay for one of thailands finest tonight. You've decided to get drunk and display some bigoted remarks on a messageboard instead. You're pretty deplorable tbh, an absolutely tragic poster.

Anyway, McClean is a twat. He's not indicative of all irish people though you thick fuck  he's literally just a stupid and narrow minded as you are. Thankfully, you're the minority.
Got you going you naive fuck, making a right arse of yourself again

Jesus Christ, our armed forces went in to protect the Catholics from the prods, the provos exploited thus and started a war. Thankfully they lost in the end, and wankers like McClean and yourself can cry all you like, if you don't like it, you can cross the border no problem.

The British Army were sent in to keep the peace in the 6 counties, not to protect the Catholics from "the prods" as you say.

There were numerous counts of violence from both sides before the troubles, until they flared up again.

Catholics were treated as second class citizens in Northern Ireland and the British government allowed this to happen would you believe or did you not realize that?

So while the IRA were wrong to go on a killing spree, it should have never of came to one faction of Christianity having full control in the 6 counties.

Why should people educate themselves about Ireland? Seriously.

I am educated and I accept the fact that Britain has always been in the wrong. But, again, why should people have to learn this? There was no holocaust or genocide so there's nothing of particular fundamental importance to learn.

If we were in Ireland and were puzzled at Irish attitudes towards us then we should learn to understand why. But we're not, we're in England watching football on our day off.

James Mcclean has come over here and chosen to live here, work here and pay taxes here and has chosen to ram his agenda down our throat. He should be educating himself about England and tolerating England and the English or making tough choices about where he wants to live.

In truth he's ramming down our throats a conflict that was supposed to have ended 20 years ago in peaceful multilateral agreements. Britain has accepted and apologised for the famine, Britain has accepted and apologised for collusion. Britain has accepted and apologised for bloody sunday. The Queen in her trip to Ireland said that "(she) wishes we had done something different or nothing at all".

Yet still James does what he does, says what he says and picks up his sterling. It's as hypocritical as it gets.

Right on the money.

I am but I'm also Irish and I'm not going to sit here and not respond to ignorant bullshit about my country being spouted on here by small minded bigots.
And you are one of them. You started with the pro-Republic post. This thread is about James McClean. He dragged his politics in football and has put his club in a terrible position. If that's how he feels than that's fine. But he's a WBA player and he should put them first. He got a lifeline and chance to play in the PL but he want out of his way to offend them. Them begin WBA fans and team mates who are like 99% of British, nice people who love football.

Of course there is. Mackemdo or whatever is called is ever bit as bad as Il Bomber. At the end of the day they are just names and opinions of idiots.

Respectfully, you can fuck off,

All I have done is defend McClean from the ignorant idiots spewing bile at him because they know absolutely fuck all about the conflict in the North. People should respect that he has the right to show contempt to a foreign armed force who have occupied, discriminated and terrorised his people for hundreds of years where a horrible atrocity was commited very close to his home which had a deep impact on the estate he grew up on.

A load of people have came in with completely ignorant comments on the matter and it has irked me. I grew up in this land, I know what has been said and conveyed is absolute rubbish from some. The British public have been brain washed into what has happened in Ireland. They don't know half of what their armed forces did over here. Just 12 miles away from my home they gunned down a 12 year old girl in cold blood. They don't know why this conflict started. I wonder would your outlook be different if you were discriminated against in education, voting, employment and housing because of your religion. I wonder would you take beatings and killings if you peacefully went about try to bring about change to equal rights in that state?

By all means continue to be ignorant but you can bet your last dollar I'm not going to sit here quietly and let nonsense be spouted.

Do a bit more googling on the atrocities the British Army were responsible for in the occupied six counties. There were many of them.

The majority of Irish people like myself, like the English.

Some people on here are using this thread to spout their hatred for Irish people unfortunately.

a country which was invaded by a foreign country over 800 years ago and where the natives lived as second class citizens in the aftermath.

Honest question here.
Weren't the Normans invited to invade Ireland by an Irish king who had been stripped of his kingdom by the high king?

 Ok, have a good night. I think it's fairly obvious you've shown yourself up.
Yes I'm sleepy now but have two ladyboys in bed with me,hope I don't wake up with a sore arse.
Good night all and remember the old Fulwell end song 'I'd like to give the pope a rope..........

What a cretin you are. We aren't ignorant, we know the history, we know atrocities were carried out by both sides, and we also know that McClean is a f***ing hypocrite.

I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying that James McClean will know lads who lived in those streets. They will have a very different perspective from your mates who were in the Army there. And from his perspective, I completely understand why he doesn't want to sing God Save The Queen.
If a muslim player done that done that what do you think the response would be?[/QUOTE]
Where is this hypothetical muslim from ?

How has he rammed his agenda down your throat?

He has his opinions and stance on the matter. Given the context of his background, the area he grew up in and the acts perpetrated by the British Armed Forces and the British Government there then maybe he should be cut a bit of slack.

You are a child murdering apologist. If you hate the British so much then fair enough, but don't post on here and stop supporting an English team you hypocritical wank.

Just watched the film "71" last night. Even that opened my eyes somewhat as when growing up I was quite naive towards the Troubles.

His decision to not wear the poppy I personally could understand given his background and what I know of Derry & Bloody Sunday etc.

But now to be turning away during this is a joke. Did the Ireland players disrespect the anthem during the recent friendly with England?

Maybe his family still have bother back in Ireland etc but the lad needs to be given a lesson on how the world has changed.
How has the world changed for those who still occupied by the British?
