Eh, the fact you called him a "Thick Spud Twat" maybe, which in my eyes is clearly racist towards Irish people.

The British army murdered countless Irish people too or are you not aware of that?

I don't bother with all that lark tbh, I'm Irish yes and proud. I don't hate English people either for that matter.

If you don't like us, don't support us, don't come to this country. I don't have a problem with the Irish in general, but wankers like him deserve all they get.

Calling him spud thick is appropriate, not racist., how is calling someone thick as a tatey any different to saying thick as mince!
Well said and he's not Irish hes a Brit

Strange when you talk to Belfast lads they insist they are British and loyal to our Queen

I would imagine you are talking to the type of Belfast lads who fester their inherent hatred by jumping into a car and mowing down people due to their religion.

And maybe as a kid growing up in the Creggan estate in Derry he knows lads who lived there during the troubles, and some of the things they told him are awful.

Maybe he's just a bigoted spud thick twat. His new team and owners should be appalled.

I like the baggies, good set of fans, I hope they give this **** pelters. What a f***ing arsehole, I genuinely hope he snaps his thigh bones and never plays again.
So within 28 words you go from complaining that someone is thick to saying that you wish physical injury and the end of a career on them, because they won't sing the national anthem. Speaks volumes, really.

I'll make the point again. You (rather distastefully) assume that anyone who who disagrees with McLean's views is either ignorant of or uncaring towards the innocent people killed in Derry at Bloody Sunday. But the point is that many (in fact most) British people disapprove very strongly of what happened. I also understand why the British army is a controversial topic in Northern Ireland. But McLean is happy to glorify the atrocities of the IRA. Because all the while he wants to use the genuine grievances of Irish Catholics as the reason for his stance, he endorses the suffering of others. He requires a level of understanding for his position that he's not prepared to offer to others. No better than when loyalists go on about IRA actions while glossing over their own. He's a hypocrite, and unless you're prepared to actually address this point after multiple times of raising it, so are you.

Brilliant post.

Calling him a "spud thick" isn't appropriate when it's common knowledge that potato references when used in a negative light is anti Irish.

Why are you saying if you don't like us don't support us to me? Where have I shown an any Sunderland or anti British agenda?

It's a very simplistic, naive and ignorant viewpoint to paint both sides as bad as each other. Do you even understand the basis for this conflict and the role of the British Armed forces who were there under the guise of keeping the peace?
Il Bomber I've reported you to the mods. You are either looking to cause trouble or you're as thick as a castle wall. If you think the Omagh, Warrington, Manchester and Birmingham bombings were some kind act of defiance towards a wicked and evil empire, than you are deluded. Innocent people lost their lives just like they did in Bloody Sunday.

And you perceive that to be the general opinion? That particular poster is an old bigot living in Thailand who regularly pays for sex, take no notice of him.

Most sensible people can see McClean for what he is: an immature dense bellend, regardless of which passport he cares about most.[/QUOTE
Thailand ? I heard from your wife you don't pay her much and you have a small cock

It's Ireland, pal. The hint is in the name. I feel sorry for the feeble and warped mindset you have, probably revering a family of inbred Nazis.

Is this the same Nazis who the IRA were collaborating with in WWII? The ones who wanted to use Ireland as a base to launch attacks on Britain? Twats then, and twats now.

He has a stance, seeing as the Crown Forces murdered 6 innocent unarmed people from his estate who were partaking in a march for civil rights in a part of Ireland occupied by foreign forces. You seem to be quite ignorant on this matter.

Killings carried out by Ira and British Army:

IRA - 1696 (49%) (approximately 650 were civilians)

British Army - 299 (9%)

Haway everyone this is getting out of hand,it's a thread about mc clean not about the Irish in general and the history of ireland

he's a f***ing idiot. lots of people on both sides have put aside their differences and made a massive effort to try to get on and live as normal a life as can be over there, and then there's tools like him...

Yep and we have the right to think he's a utter cock.

Absolutely. Of course you do. It's called freedom of speech. It's a good thing. And whether it's you calling James McClean a cock, or James McClean not singing the national anthem, the right for you or James McClean to do so is to be welcomed.

I've seen multiple anti Irish references on here since I started posting, it's sickening tbh.

Its all well and good when its a joke or in good humour, no better man than to be able to chuckle about it but there is definitely an Anti Irish agenda on here with a lot of people.

I don't agree with McClean on this, yet because I've called out a few people over bigoted remarks I'm suddenly an apologist

Once again you make no attempt to acknowledge any atrocities other than the ones you care about so you can stick your special pleading up your arse.

And once again you have made no attempt to understand the basis of the conflict. The IRA came into being after the sacking of Bombay Street where loyalists were given carte blanche to burn nationalists out of their homes. The police and security forces made no effort to prevent attacks on a marginalised and discriminated section of a state founded on a sectarian basis.

Regrettable things happened in this conflict on both sides but trying to paint it as the premise as both sides were as bad as each other is ignorant. Were the allies as bad as the Nazis?
