It's not safe I heard. I hated Barbados though most won't agree with my thoughts
It's a long way to go for a beach complex holiday.
Leaving the confines of the hotel was fckuin horrific when we went.

I think I could live in Barbados. Lovely place I thought even though we were only there for a week but it felt great.

You shouldn’t have bothered. It’s been massively blown out of proportion. Such a shame given how reliant they are on tourism.
It’s like anywhere, stay out of the shitty part of Mo Bay where the gangs are killing each other and you’ll have no bother at all.

really the problem is the risk of tourists straying into gang terrority. Which is always the case, and in most places in the world. The caution now is because the gangs are blowing shit out of each other.
Having said this, my view is based on what I’m being told by family who live there part of the year and some of whom are Jamaican.

Where did you stay?
We were up near Royal Westmorland golf course near holetown and it felt very safe. Wife and bairn felt safe and people stopped and offered lifts as we walked down Porters to get to the beach.
