@kildaremackem showing you don't know football again
aye ok i didnt know he played one season for brentfors years ago..it diesnt detract from the point that grigg was, at the time safc signed him, a proven and recognised goalscorer at league one level..between leaving brentford and joinign safc he had a seaosn where he hit 19, a season where he hit 20 and a season where he hit 25..the reason those seasons werent consecutive is he was in the championship for a season..

Are people seriously still claiming Ross was decent and was dealt a bad hand 😂

He’s been sacked twice since we sacked him, for very good reasons, or was that just bad hands and not his fault as well?

He was absolutely pathetic, the job was far too big for him, and because he was too scared to lose he cost us two Wembley wins and promotion. On one of those occasions he was quite literally gifted a 1-0 lead and still decided defence first.
I’ll never forgot Nick Barnes saying at the Jack Ross talk in just after he was sacked “I’m sure Jack will go on to manage at a higher level than sunderland “

The blokes clueless;both

Can you type that in English please?

TBH while i wasnt a fan of ross I thought he would go on to do well..I though the SAFC job arrived too early for him in his career..neither as a player or manager had he experinced the pressure of managing at SAFC's level..nor would ge have envcountered a budget of the size safc had..or any knowledge of how to intercat p[layers on the sort of wages we were paying...but i thought he would go on to be a good manager somewhere...turns out thats unlikely now. Another thing i was wrong about

You shouldn't try to say things aren't true if you are clueless

Still say it was their biggest mistake bringing him in
We all thought at the time going for young manager they wanted a long term plan etc
The reality was they needed a quick promotion to then sell on
Considering all the above they should of went all out and got a warnock we’d of pissed league with that squad with a manager with just simple know how
Their tenure could of been viewed a whole lot differently if they’d gone up that season.

Bang f***ing on!! If you can’t handle the pressure at Sunderland in league one, you aren’t going bigger are you!! Best chance he’ll ever get.

the problem with the "promotion for a quick sell on" point is..the promotion has happened...and they remain in place.
