Jack Colback

If that is true then he needs to be moved on as he isn't good enough to cement a first team position in a poor team now and if he wil not improve it'd be ridiculous to invest more money into the lad over the next 4-5 years which should be the best of his career.

Yes but for a lot of the time he's played at fullback and i'd imagine the things he worked on during training would be based around that.
I can just imagine all the other defenders being readied to stop Rooney and company while Jack is practicing diving headers at the other end.

Cattermole is comfortably the better of the two[DOUBLEPOST=1388067153][/DOUBLEPOST]
You're talking to the bloke who hideously over rates Colback beyond belief

In what way tho mate, I might be bias I do dislike Cattermole I wont hide it. I don't see any obvious differences in class between the two players.

Workrate - Draw
Passing - JC
Reliability - JC

Creativity - Neither

We are talking about him developing himself, not in scheduled training. What work if any has he done on his own in order to add to his game? That's what makes the difference.

Be honest, he has not progressed at all. He doesn't have the ability to change a game, you've never seen him take control of a game like Cattermole has who is also limited in terms of an attacking threat but at least you can see what else he brings to the team.

You forgot versatility. I'll let you decide who's best.

You put your left leg in
You pull your left leg out
In out, in out
You shake it all about
You do the Yaya Hokey Cokey and you turn around
That's what it's all about.

Woah, the Yaya Hokey Cokey,
Woah, the Yaya Hokey Cokey,
Woah, the Yaya Hokey Cokey,
Knees bent, arms stretched, ra ra ra!
:):):):):)

At least you found it funny! You didn't actually change much from the original did you? oh dear.

I'm not anti Cattermole but i don't think there's much between the two of them in that sense. There's more huffing and puffing out of Cattermole's chest but tangible terms there's not much else.
Frank Lampard changes the games. Eden Hazard changes the game. Cattermole doesn't, and neither does Colback really.
I would add that on occasions Cattermole does significantly change the course of a game but not in a good way.

And if Sunderland are ever to progress both Cattermole and Colback need to leave. But 99% would keep Cattermole over Colback when discussing who leaves first.

You can say that about Colback to be fair. Offers nowt.

Probably needs to leave to progress. He's not kicked on as much as I and people at the club will have expected.#

He's a good squad player.
