He would be better off leaving safc, seem to remember people saying Jordan Henderson was shite for us too. In today's modern game, colback will do well, he can keep possession and doesn't give the ball away too often..versatile too.
In a better team he would look a very good player.

I'm going to give you some first class advice, son. Take it in and act on it wisely.

Ginga just doesn't look good. Get your hair dyed young'un.
You'll be accepted a lot more and it will be far more aesthetic.

Oh, and stop passing backwards so much, when there's no need.

Colback will probably turn out to be yet another widely criticised player on here who once we have replaced him with dross will be remembered as world class and threads started every time his new team wins.

Haway man he is an ordinary unexciting workmanlike championship plodder he'll end up at stoke or norwich or some other bottom six side and make a decent living out of the game.
All this shit about toure. , baines etc cos he managed to get a tackle in occasionally against a better player.
If JC is where we are aspiring to as supporters of safc , we really have hit rock bottom after years of mediocrity.

Another Grant Leadbitter perhaps ... if memory serves me correctly!

Let him go. He contributes nowt and is a bottler. Easily replaced.

good squad player....give the lad a contract.
going off our past record he'll go for next to nowt and be replaced with another £5m Gardner....which is whats basically wrong with our buying policy.

Colback was a part of a clutch of players coming through the academy. Him, Henderson and Martin Waghorn (Waggie) they were all together, quite a successful group actually for the academy tbh. But out of the 3 Henderson was always the more thought of. I quite liked Waggie, actually, I put Colback last of the trio.

Aha, a Christmas Day Colback thread.
If he isn't good enough and he does leave let's see who's playing at the higher level next season, Colback or Sunderland.
Oh good, another Jack Colback thread. Colback, Bardsley and Larsson will all end up at a higher level than sunderland next year if we go down.

I can't see Colback ever being a regular in a top side, perhaps in a Hull, poss WBA, etc. or more like an isolated squad player. Tbh he would do better to stay put, even if it means being relegated with us, it may just help him to shine in the Championship.

Think a season or 2 in the Championship would do him the world of good, he is well-known to suffer from a lack of confidence which I think does affect his performances to a certain extent and he'd probably look very good in that league.
