He was poor as usual. Gardner and Meyler should be ahead of him. Richardson did quite well when moved into the centre also

Thought he had a very similar game to Vaughan with the exception of the goal. If Vaughan hadnt have scored there would have been very little to distinguish the two. Dont think we particularly improved as a consequence of him going off rather that the addition of McClean on the left of midfield helped a lot. Thought hw was better than Larsson and that Richardson's performance dropped (thought he was good today by the way) as soon as he went in to central midfield as such didn't much more to what Colback had offered.

This.
To say Colback offered nothing and that the reason we went onto win was his sustituion is pitiful .
The introduction of McLean was certainly the reason we went onto win but Colback had a good game along side Vaughan. As for not getting forward , he was about to pull the trigger on the edge of the box when , i think it was Bardsley took the ball off his foot and shot over . He was also prominent on the edge of the box on several occasions . Watch the game with both eyes if you don't belive me . He gave the ball away twice but most of the time him and Vaughan kept possession well .
The nose is a naughty little boy with an obvious agenda , wasn't it him who called him a ginger Mag?

Colback got in the way IIRC.

Him and Vaughan pretty much controlled the game - entirely - without doing anything flash

Out problems lie out wide where we had zero threat (until the new lad came on and did something different and ran at his man and beat him a fair few times)

You sure you talking about our game and not the Stoke match?

The centre midfield was awful in terms of attacking sense.

Cattermole should replace him next week.

He hasn't been very good of late and we certainly can't drop Vaughan after today's performance.

i hope cattermole doesn't play again he's a liability, and offers nothing to the team.

They controlled the game - I've no idea what the possession stats were - but Blackburn I reckon got in our half once in the second half - and had 2 shots in the first half - one of which was saved and the lad knocked in the rebound

Vaughan and Colback ( I rate Vaughan as our best centre mid, by a mile by the way ) pretty much did what was asked of them - kept the game ticking over, the ball moving

We've no better option at the moment - unless Myler can get himself a game alonside Vaugan

No coincidence by the way that Cattermole has not been on the winning team this season yet - he is f***ing garbage

I think today proved Cattermole is currently our best centre midfield player if MON can sort out the daft bookings. Vaughan did well but he needs to do it consistently.

Eh? He's not won a game all season man - he can't pass, tackle, shoot

O'Neill will be buying ANOTHER centre midfielder in January and shipping two or three of htem out IMHO

Colback just doesn't offer enough for me. We don't need two neat and tidy merchants in there passing from side to side all game and for me Vaughan is the better of the two so he should start ahead of Colback. I said this before and got slaughtered for it but I think people are starting to see it now. Laughable that people were saying Colback is better than Henderson, if Hendo had put in that performance today he'd have been slaughtered on here. What we miss is someone like Henderson who can drive forward in midfield and has a bit of pace, which is why I reckon we should stick Richardson in midfield for now. The only problem with that is we'll have to put up with Bardsley at left-back but it's probably worth it.

 think it proved pretty much the opposite. Showed what we're missing when Cattermole does play.

Cattermole's a terrible player - shouldn't be anywhere near the first team, barring major injuries.
