He'll end up out on loan no doubt, blokes a liability on the pitch tbf never showed the (brief) promise he showed for Sunderland. Seems like he's just gave up truth be told.

Think he tried too much to convince people he loved the mags and hated sunderland that he forgot how to concentrate on his game.

Club statement from the time..

A Sunderland statement on Monday evening read: "Jack is a player we have nurtured and developed through our academy system since he was eight years old. We gave him the opportunity to become a professional footballer and are therefore extremely disappointed in the events that have led to his departure from the club.

"This wasn't about money - the club agreed to all of the terms demanded of us during discussions and we were always led to believe that Jack wanted to stay with us. At his and his representatives' request, final talks were put on hold until the club secured its top-flight status. To our dismay, however, we were subsequently never given the chance to negotiate with him to stay.

"For him to then leave the club that has supported him throughout his formative years in such a manner, with no chance for Sunderland to recover any of the significant investment that it has made in him as a player, has left a bitter taste."

Such a shame how it all worked out for the lad...:lol::lol::lol:

It was always his best position but no the player wanted to play CM.

I would take him back, but he would have to accept his role as a utility player fitting in as and when required.

Why?

He acted the prick when he left, and isn't that good. Add in his current extorniaite wages and he wouldn't even be good value.

Fuck him

I can ignore the mag baiting and him saying he wanted to join a bigger club etc etc, but the fact he did that to SAFC after all they did for him shows what an utter wanker the bloke is.

Even if I wasn't a Sunderland fan I'd despise the bastard. I'm surprised there aren't a few mags who didn't like the way he did that, even if they do hate us. To shit on the one team that gave you a chance is... well... y'nar.

If he sits out his contract they will despise him. Hope he does .

I would take him back to pick up the empty crisp packets at half time, maybe get the Benny Hill music going as well at the same time.
