ITV X picture quality

Its got all of Minder including the Minder on the Orient Express feature length, which was a nice little find.

But aye, overall it's dog shite. A million adds and the picture quality always starts like a video off Crimewatch until it finds its feet. All4 is a pain in the arse as well.

Is that the one when Arthur got chucked off the train pissed, and complained that he'd just been "ejaculated from the train"?🤣🤣🤣

Samsung.
ITV hub used to be ok, and then I started getting 'notices' on screen telling me my telly isn't compatible.
For how much ITV we watch, I'll not bother getting a new telly until our present one's knackered
Reason i asked is people with older Panasonic and Toshiba models have been unable to update.

My Panasonic is about 4 years old and it's fine.

It doesn’t work on my Panasonic (it’s about 4 years old too) so I’ve tried using it through the Firestick. The interface is crap and shows will randomly stop, freeze or restart. Good job there isn’t much worth watching anyway (apart from Tipping Point…..)

I've paid for a year of ITVX Premium. Worth it just to cut out the adverts, but they're clearly still testing the app as it does lose internet connection several times a day, unlike iPlayer and Netflix. All4+ and Disney+ almost as bad.

Yeah I think it's a similar thing with some older Samsung models.
Can't remember how long ago I bought my present TV, it's certainly not within the last 5 years or so.

Obviously, I still get ITV channels on live TV, and can watch itvx on my desk top / phone - not that I've bothered like.

Saw Minder featuring an Oirish gypsy Jimmy Nail yest and there wasn't any change in the mid 80s picture presentation there.

What a star turn by Nail BTW.
