The word barm to describe bun really annoys me for some reason
Used to annoy me but you get used to it. They look at you funny if you ask for a bread bun here (to the point where some don't even understand it, which is pretty baffling).

Edit: actually barmcake is the full title. Not sure what is cakey about it like.

A Scotch Pie is a poor choice when constructing a pie butty as the pastry is too crusty for the purpose. The Scotch Pie should be enjoyed without the bread accompaniment as it is a cracking pie and unnecessary tampering isn't required.

f***ing ridiculous. Even more when its Barm Cake. Barm - Means fuck all & its not a cake

Bun is fairly inoffensive, but again doesn't really mean much. Roll is fine, as its literally a roll of bread.

Edit: Barm is actually "Barm is the foam, or scum, formed on the top of liquor", and that's used to make barm cakes. I learned something today. Its still not a f***ing cake though.

Looks like a half cooked pie in a bread bun.
If it quacks like a duck....
