I have just got a new work laptop.
I can get access to Internet via the BT Broadband but I cant connect to the VPN. I can however gain access to the VPN from random remote WIFI sites.
BT have washes their hands claiming to not support any VPN. IT dept at HQ are useless and cant see anything wrong with the laptop anyway.

Yes I have switched everything off and back on again.

Anyone any ideas how to solve this?

What error do you get when trying to connect through the VPN?

Has it got a VPN passthru mode that needs enabling?

You're what we call in the IT industry an unhelpful user, several people including myself have asked you for more information but you're not helping yourself. VPN should give a more detailed error than 'can't connect', also your router will have it clearly marked what Belkin model it is yet you can't provide that either.

If you use VPN then your company should be supporting you outside the office. If I had this problem with a user at work I'd remote onto their Laptop, check VPN and go from there. Perhaps you should speak to your IT dept and tell them to pull their finger out their arses and help you.

Thanks. First can you go to Control Panel>Admin Tools>Services

Look through the list of services and you'll see a service called "ICS" or "Internet Connection Sharing", right-click on it and stop.

Open VPN and try connecting again.
