Is this the worst you've ever felt about the club?

Finally thought we were on the up with BSA and the squad we had at the end of last season. Genuinely cannot believe we've gone from that team who finished last season to this now. Moyes seemed to lack any self belief and seems a beaten man, whole squad rife with injuries and no sign of Short f***ing off (or anyone wanting to buy us for that matter).
Honestly can't see how we are going to get out this rut we are in at the moment.

Been quite a few much much worse seasons in last 30 years mind

Just for context, Swansea had a shite window, their fans are fuming over it and blame their american owners as well... along with the way they presided over in the ousting Guidolin and the installation of Bob Bradley.

We have Moyes and they have Bob Bradley.

All things are relative.

Now if Moyes is the busted flush some fear, it likely won't matter, but we'd been rumoured sniffing around Bradley when Dick left as well...

Our luck, Bradley turns them around immediately and they finish mid-table.

Right now, I can't construe an argument about this, but my inkle is that we will finish above them and at least 5 others

Probably any 3 from 5 this season.

Sunderland
Middlesbrough
Hull
Burnley
Swansea

You can throw in maybe a surprise club, whilst Sunderland don't look great but neither do any of the other clubs in that mini group.
Swansea will be ok. But yeah, other 4 plus a wildcard (Leicester..?;)).

I must say I felt much worse watching some of the negative, stultifyingly boring and life draining apology for football under Gus Poyet. I think things will greatly improve under Moyes. We have some excellent players and when they click I expect to see a dramatic improvement even this season.

Getting promoted and relegated and promoted and relegated etc etc is a damn sight better than stagnation. We are nothing if not stagnant these days. We never had the problem of sooooo many people leaving before the end of home matches before the Shortnev years. Loads of lads who remember the year in the old third division had a great time that year. Football is about the fans and nothing more. Being in the Premiership is not a definition of success. Being part of a club where the fans are together and having a break frim their day to day lives is what it is all about.

Spot on

No, and I'm only 21. The lowest as a fan I've felt was waking up one morning, aged 11 to find out that Bury, bottom of the Football League had beaten us 2-0 in the cup...just after the 15 point season. I thought my club was never going to see the top flight again.

Now, I'm very bored. It's testing my enthusiasm certainly. I'm bored of not showing any promise and i'm bored of not going to games just knowing we would give any side a game. I felt like that until Martin O'Neill nearly bored us all to death. I used to go into games against City, Liverpool, Arsenal just knowing we would match them or at least put in a good show. Now it's the same predicatable shite. I used to be gutted if we conceded...I just shrug now. We are just stale. Like the equivalent of Kilmarnock in the SPL or something. Just there, but never doing anything really.

Not on your life.........Macmenemy the bastard era for a start - Then the final throes of Bruce and his outbreak of "Black & White Bastardness" when he deliberately sold our best players.....never forgive him ....never !!

I get what your saying and we are generally shite but we still give top teams a good game one of Manchester cities hardest games this season was against us

I think the worst I ever felt was at the end of the 85 season. It had never crossed my mind that we would be relegated. That was followed by the buzz I felt with the appointment of McMenemy. Learned not to trust my feelings after that.

Aftermath of relegation to Div-3; viewed in the cold light of day.
I thought the club was finished.

This is nothing by comparison.

I was canny devastated when Howard wilkinson was given the managers job !
worked with loads of skunks at the time, who had my life !

couldn't believe we appointed that fker
That's a fair comment, feckin Sgt Wilko.

The season has only just started, so how could it possibly be anything like as bad as some are suggesting. There is nearly a whole season of being ground into the dirt to look forward to, which will please many on here :)
