Is the end near for watching the games on dodgy channels?

I bet you weren't watching it via Kodi or Android though

The only way to stop it being shown @Its Him Again is to not have any live footy on TV. It's impossible to stop. Close them down and they spring up elsewhere. Trick is finding the most reliable and sticking with it
No I wasn't. Dad was using his fire stick and said he struggled for the first twenty minutes then it was fine.

I do think people should be careful how freely they share the SM link.

I've seen in the last month another site shut down that does something similar. SM is an industrial scale operation, and if certain parties become aware of it, it'll be gone. It and other sites are discussed far too openly on here and in the long run, it's likely to draw unwanted attention to the site owners and users...

 Ok

There's nothing like SM though, dont take it for granted. Don't be too casual about finding it elswhere, the service is way beyond what you can even obtain through legit sources in the UK. All the Sunlun 3pm streams come from NBCSN which you're right, will always exist, but there is a reason the quality is so poor on non-payment sites. Its not just the source, it's the method of delivery.

The big thing to remember is that it is far from legal. If you talk about it on here you massively increase the chances of the site owners being jailed and the service stopped. I can't believe the RTG owners even allow open discussion of streaming sites full stop - they open themselves up to future legal changes that could target users and whatever the law defines as people who have facilitated the discussion. This is an openly Google indexed forum...

I think anyone discussing SM should give their head a shake and remember that you can make people aware through PM's etc.

That was a much smaller scale site called my TV abroad.

Yep, one of things making me a bit hesitant getting the year pass, as it could well be dissolved at any time. I know it's been around for a good while but it's popularity has got a lot bigger (just going by this forum anyway)

Yeah, 3 years but has exploded. I don't think the guys behind it have expected it as they recently upgraded their server capacity too. They're walking a fine line between accessibility and security.

If I was them I'd bail soon. Take the money and leave someone else in charge, because it will be picked up soon. 3 or 6 months is best I reckon. If it's still going in may I'd be owa the moon.

Could not find our game anywhere. Last season I paid 16.99 to watch every Premier game live. Up to 8 3pm kick offs was shown on a Saturday. That has been knocked to one game shown at 3pm. I'm sure it's the same in other countries. Heard a few saying that they couldn't find our match on in any pub in the town ?
There was 3 cracking streams on njm soccer yesterday.

imagine all the pms I'd be sending

Adding more football in a stripped down package club by club can only stand to be a good thing for them, people will still buy the sky packages and watch the other shite if they want it.

And that whole argument about stopping streaming falls down, they need to embrace it and allow us more American-ised packages like the NFL ones.

Aye he's like our very own Julian Assange!

you could get footy for 6.99 on now tv

If you only plan on watching a handful of matches on Sky Sports, take a look at Now TV's Sports Passes. These will let you watch as much Sky Sports as you want for either 30 days, a week, or a day. A day pass will set you back £6.99, a week will cost £10.99 and a month £33.99. Clearly, however, this isn't comparable with the cost of the annual package listed above, because you don't get a landline or broadband as part of the deal.

how many people would you get wanting a safc tv season pass v wanting a man u one, & man u would want a bigger share

What is even dafter is that there's a SM Facebook group for support, and the lads in charge have actually put their names in public. Makes me worried they either don't understand how stupid that is, or that they don't care. Either way, it massively increases the chances of getting busted.

It is a rip off mow tv, plus SM has 3pm kick offs.

Nah they have a closed group so they probably vet people joining. Public was the wrong word, but it's still an easy lead which was totally unnecessary. Some of them had specific new fb profiles, but one guy just had his normal profile... Thick as mince doing that.

There are some thickos about mind
Ahem

no its 7 quid for the day :p

onlyway sky can compete is charge same as paid streams & be cutting there own throat.

Thing is sky still couldn't compete cause they can't show any 3pm games

Bout time this rule was scrapped

The tv companies can't even show a foreign game if it's on at 1700 our time

Bloody barmy

Streaming will only grow, if anything it's time for Sky and the Premier League to embrace it and do deals with clubs that allow exiles and armchair fans to buy a "season ticket" to watch all the clubs games, something like £15 a game, pricey but it's still cheaper than a match day ticket and travel up for me, which'll come in at around £200.

I agree, but not about the price. People who live away or even away games for season ticket holders are an untapped market. I live over 300 miles from the SOL. Streaming has not changed the very few games I get to per season. It is high ticket and travel costs plus time that keeps me away. So, I watch as many games as I can on streams. I'd love the club to sell me a quality stream and have my money go back into football, not to criminals abroad.

£15 seems a bit steep though. That is £570 per season. If the league are going to make it work, it needs to be more like £3 per game, otherwise people will stick to dodgey sites.
