Is the end near for watching the games on dodgy channels?

When Kodi/Phoenix works then you sit there feeling smug.

But I found that any time I arranged people to visit for a beer to watch an SAFC away match that it all turned to pixels and buffers and I could see why people just stump up for sky or bt.
Agreed. Its just not reliable.

I've given up with streams all that farting about trying to find the hidden cross to get rid of the ad's only to then find its virtually unwatchable. I just listen to Benno on the radio and use my imagination.
I've got 'sky sports 5 ROI' who show a live PL game at 3pm on a Saturday so I can always watch that and its in normal, perfect quality, no buffering vision.

No one is arguing Sky isn't better but it's whether you think it's 50 odd quid a month better (or whatever it costs nowadays). I don't think Sky sports is worth the money for what I'd use it for.
I honestly dont care what you think.

720p so aye. Doesn't have to be amazing like but it helps. I have fibre so about 40mbs. The box is hard wired so it doesn't drop out. Had it on since 13.00 for the boro game and it hasnt buffered once.
Is there an option to get 1080p? I used to use sopcast before wiziwig shut down and they were always perfect quality but can never find them now

OK Ive now got exodus and zem tv but think I need a VPN any recommendations? Also phoenix is mentioned any other good add ons for sport / footy?
