Is Leeds Utd a derby?

No, you don't " remember" that at all šŸ¤”, you looked it up.šŸ‘

This ^^^^^
You can't possibly have a "derby" match with a club 95 miles away.
Certainly there's history and a bit of bad blood between the clubs, but no way is it a derby match.

** Bradford and Barnsley are closer to Sunderland than Leeds. If they were in the Championship would they be considered as derby games?? No is the answer.
Yep, I "looked up" the actual stats, but I remember how well Leeds played that season mate. The only time under Revie, that I thought Leeds were a really good side.

Awful insular people and an awful club with an unfounded superiority complex.

Good team this season though, likely twatting for us this week.

Nah we don’t have a derby anymore now people on here don’t class the mags as one. Boro are in Yorkshire and we don’t care about them and Leeds are further south than boro so they can’t be a derby

Don’t really care much about them tbh. They seem to have a reputation for hating us though so they must consider it so

Every definition of football derby says "local" or "geographically close". Usually sets of fans will end up drinking in similar pubs, working at the same places, going to school together. 100 miles is not close and I bet most people on here don't know or see any Leeds fans regularly.

If you want to make a stretch to class Leeds as a derby, then so is York, Darlington, Hartlepool, Carlisle, Workington Reds and Middlesbrough.

Silly question, they are as much as a derby as West Ham are. No surprises who wants to be different and buck the trend with the answers.

I'd say it's the other way around to the OP to be honest.

I mean this in the nicest of ways, Leeds fans (including any old boys I know) couldn't give less of a fuck about us. Most probably want to see us promoted with them. They have probably about 15 clubs all around them that hate them, and they couldn't care less about them either. It's all about Chelsea, Man U, Millwall and a lesser extent Cardiff for Leeds.

On the other hand I always see people on here/ social media talking about dirty Leeds and how much they hate them. I get it completely and understand the history, but don't be fooled thinking it's a two-way thing.

Not a derby but a fixture I always look for. Two big clubs who should be competing higher in the pyramid
Hiya Angelos 😊 Have to "agree to disagree" with you re: Leeds being a "big club" Yes, they were competitive for a 10 year period, no denying that. But their history pre and post that era was one of grinding mediocrity. I realise of course that many will not agree with my assessment. Sunderland on the other hand? well, take a wild guess!!
