2 vodkas for me last night and I was in bed for 11. There were shed loads of fireworks at midnight that woke me up, but they weren’t as noisy as at bonfire night or Diwali.
Not a drop for me. Sore throat from hell and a very irritating cough. This morning, I realised that the annoying cough is a chest infection as the green phlegm has started to shift. Just fuck off! I've not been ill all year and then this happens when I'm off work.

Got home at 0220 and up at 0800 this morning feeling ok really. Won’t drive for a couple of hours yet but I feel as though I could go to work if I had too.

First 100% sober NYE for probably 30 plus years , had three pints of soda water and a pint of coke - saw 12 bells ferrying family home from shagorika as the service was incredibly slow !

Today is one of the best drinking days of the year. Few pints of Thatchers Cider earlier, now home on sofa watching football and about to partake in second bottle of red.

That does not indicate the time as in "bells"! It's a Naval reference, there is no such thing as 12 bells...
