You could see someone like Buttler when his England career finished being involved. He is a high profile IPL cricketer and is known throughout the world.
The interesting thing about the reliance XI was the two young South Africans who they have tied up to their franchise.
Don't really know enough about it but there planning something.

No it's already happened the Indian cricket board and the IPL already run cricket it happened a decade ago.

I mean like them poaching the various top stars from overseas and preventing them from playing for their countries, for a franchise match in the Caribbean or USA

Pretty much so play international cricket and franchise cricket around the world.
A bit like what the top European club football teams have done to domestic football in South America and Africa.
