I did that with the HTC desire HD, have the 3GS was waiting for the next iphone. Had the desire for a month and sold it, biggest thing for me was the browsing, just not a patch on the iphone

Aye I do remember the browsers were pants, LOVE the notifications, ota os updating etc tho...use my iPad for browsing most of the time as well so mebbe ok. Time will tell but thus far every time I ended up back with an iPhone

At the end of the day.

its a f***ing phone

No it isn't. If it was, people who own them would refer to their "phone" or "mobile" like EVERYONE else does. iTwats always say "iphone" though, because it makes them feel special.

"Email it to my mobile" - normal people

"Email it to my iphone" - iTwats

As for Apple suing Samsung to protect their clever idea, here's what Symbian looked like before there was ever an iProduct:

Or shall we go back oh say 30 years to Xerox PARC, where the idea actually came from:

Let the battle commence. Desperate act by a company who never had an original thought in their history, know the competition has now overhauled them, and have nowhere new to go (*). FACT.

(*) EDIT: Apologies, I forgot about their imminently arriving trump card:

I heard that Electrolux are frantically hiring lawyers.

Depends on your definition of personal data.

I was waiting for this to come up. I heard the woman on the radio this morning saying that the iPhone tracks your satallite position...what a load of bollox.

If you actually see the file and not go by some article says, you'll see it is the cell tower locations and timestamps that get recorded, but towers only get recorded once.

Its simple a cache file of towers you've connected to so that the iPhone doesn't have to keep doing a search.

You won't be so blasé when people start waking up without their livers.

Nokia 5800 ffs.

He even posts screenshots to show everyone how shit it is.:lol:

Next he'll be pointing out that the best selling app of all time for Nokia phones is an iPhone emulator called 'MyPhone'.

He's far less credible than any of the fandroids

Incidentally, I read this morning that Apple are suing Samsung on the basis that the Galaxy is a rip off of the iPhone.

Just thought I'd throw that in for when HBT shows up.

I think that is just nuisance litigation though, that along with filing loads of nuisance patents is common practice to slow down and impede the competition. I think Apple realise they have deeper pockets than most so they can afford the legal fees and if it delays Samsung from releasing something by a month or two then Apple win.

"Just read it out cos my phone is shite so you aren't seeing it" - HBT

Tidied.

PS. I never refer to either, if I want an email I say "email it to me" why do people need to know how your gonna receive it?

Same here,

or, if I'm going to be away from the office I'll tell a client to e-mail me and I'll pick it up on my phone while I'm away.

The data collected isn't accurate enough, our livers are safe

And the Empire strikes back.

Perhaps Apple should have remembered the wise old adage "don't bite the hand that feeds you", and thought about who makes their CPUs and displays.
