"investment" confirmed as a loan

Juan wasn't involved when the club was bought.
In one of Donald’s first interviews he told us that they wanted the deal with short to complete without any hindrance which is why Donald and Methven were initially the only owners, in order to comply with EFL regulations.

But it was implied that Donald methven and Sartori were all in the deal from the start.

It could of course be total bullshite.

They the 3 owners borrow ten million off FPP including Sartori🤨 I thought he was minted and was gonna pump in millions at some point according to a few people on here

Why are we loaning £10m with interest if donald and sartori have that kind of money to cover it? As with most things that comes out of the club it just doesnt make sense, maybe its just me.

Why why why they ask, it’s because they have got fuck all man, WHY would any astute businessman borrow £10 million practically sign his business away if he had the capital himself !

So you were blinkered enough to believe Donald was our solitary investor that was going to get us back to the promise lands?
Nope and at no point have I said that. Carry on with your agenda.

Implied is the word. No doubt he was lurking in the background, but he was not directly involved in the initial deal.

Perhaps because as the man says. They are wanting to attract more investment from FPP?

The loan is small, happens all of the time in business (many times with our club) and they have likely made the decision that the interest has an upside I.e FPP and what that might bring and that they don’t really need to dip in to their personal funds yet.

I would say that I can’t understand the bed wetting but then again...

No need to be arsey, i asked a genuine question as i didnt listen to what donald had to say on the radio and so going off what ive seen on here. Just didnt make sense that we would take out a loan against the stadium and academy and then donald say he has the money to cover it.

Sorry. Wasn’t intended that way but this place is highly frustrating at the moment.

Have a listen to SD on total sport. The loan is for Madrox. If they don’t pay it back SD, JS and CM lose all of their money and the club. FPP own the club. But would never happen as this is a strategic loan. SD and JS can cover the loan easily it’s a small amount (to them). FPP don’t want to run the club, but looks like they do see a big investment opportunity in and the area.
It’s positive as far as I can see. Now we need to get it right on the pitch.

3 months to negoshyate a payday loan from 3 billionaires...
Fookin bizarre this...

Good bullshitters these Fookas but if ye hevn't got a pot to piss in why would secure a huge asset against a tin pot loan.....

Nee wonder the Fooka went missing, Twitter my arse.....

Did he say that he could have sold in the summer and made £30m profit then later say the yanks were not interested in taking over completely?

Yep. Said he was in the hole to the tune of over 20 million but he could've walked away after the play off final up 30 million which would mean someone had bid in the region of 60 million for a league one club.

He said he didn't want to walk away and if he wanted him and Juan could've covered the 10 million but it was better to loan it

but madrox wouldnt want to let the club go for that amount so will surely its in their best interests to repay the loan

Donald says the club already owes him 20 mil. So that's how much he's already burned, on top of what he paid for it, presumably. There could come a point - if he doesn't turn things around - where he decides torching off another 9 is not worth it. If his numbers are true, he's already hemorrhaged over 1/3 of Ellis' level write-off on this thing.

One would hope it not to be the case, but if his company (whose only asset is the club, and its assets) is leaking money, (as the club has been for what - forever? at least the last decade and a half at least?) - stripping and burning is a pretty standard hedge fund move. One would hope these folks would want to build a profitable team, but at that point, if the worst were to have happened, it would require more cash - and more years - in the hopes of reaching even champo-levels, chasing a business model that has not ever taken hold here in the modern era.

That's the doomsday scenario. I'm somewhat worried, but hopefully the Fit and Proper tests, plus Stewart's very clear and genuine football fandom, would ensure this won't be likely if he can't get it turned around, and the Dell men, or the next bloke with a few hundred mil and a dream can take it on. I hope to be that man, but currently have $300 in checkings.

In Short: Ha Way the Lads. The lifts are fixed, so take us up with that American cash, you crazy bastard Stewart. Lord knows we all need it.
