Anyone doubting what sort of money this company can bring in to our club just needs to read the figures in that blog and watch the partnership video on there. This deal has obviously been a long time in the making and could be huge for our club.

Both the invest in Africa and Tullow Oil logos are smart as fuck imo. I know that's not the point but the point still stands.

My guess would be Invest In Africa logo on the home shirt and Tullow Oil on the away shirt.

For the inevitably massive sponsorship fee Tullow get to promote their primary business as well as its social/business development project. People hate oil companies so slapping your name on a shirt is worthless.....unless you directly pair it with something that would improve your image also. The logos are designed in the same way too so there can be no confusion as to who is at the heart of the charitable initiative.

Pretty smart.

Is it weird that after watching the video I'm excited about this partnership?

Quinny is a genius

wasn't tombola founded in Sunderland? or it's a Sunderland based company anyway.

and isn't the Invest In Africa charity the work of Tullow Oil? SO surely any sponsorship deal would be funded by them, regardless which logo goes on the shirt. Tullow Oil at home, Invest In Africa on the away kit?
That Tullow Oil logo has to be the worst designed logo there is...crude and immature, we'd look like wazocks.

I understand that the new away strip for next season will be grey.

Good find.

Mind, I f***ing hate us being called Sunderland FC, they've fucked that up.

It really is an irrational pet hate of mine.:lol:

Says AFC on the front page of the IIA site. Someone email them! Useless!

You're the second person I've heard this from.
