No ITKs on this board, consensus is Invest In Africa or Tullow Oil will be the shirt sponsors. Anyone's guess if this is true though

Maybe I am missing something but invest in Africa sounds and looks like a not for profit organisation. How are we going to get the significant sponsorship deal we wanted from a charity?

Private companies plow money into them which pays us for advertisements. Not for profit doesn't mean they can spend a fuck on of cash or get a fuck ton in revenue. Just means its invested back in itself instead of the owners/shareholders

Dinnar mate, I might set up another thread and ask the same question.

The next big international market. Makes total economic sense.

I still prefer to live in the Football word were it's about the sport, not the money.

You are correct of course. Quinn no doubt got disheartened by the money chasing as he really is at the end of the day a football man who saved our club.

I can still remember a very emotional Steve Ovett on camera crying and saying how his beloved sport was becoming more about money than anything else.

which world is this 1951?

As opposed to those vast and extensive links we have with Tombola?

wasn't tombola founded in Sunderland? or it's a Sunderland based company anyway.

and isn't the Invest In Africa charity the work of Tullow Oil? SO surely any sponsorship deal would be funded by them, regardless which logo goes on the shirt. Tullow Oil at home, Invest In Africa on the away kit?
