The Spensation

Full Back
As part of my university course tomorrow my class has got a mock up press conference with Simon Mignolet at the SOL. was meant to be Henderson but the club have changed their plans at the last minute. This has threw me a bit as we only found out today and I had all my questions ready for Hendo. Any one got any ideas of stuff I should ask?

You could ask him if the Belgians have formed a government yet after their election in June (spoiler: they haven't).

Failing that, what's the main differences between Belgian and English football/football fans? Does he like the added atmosphere and pressure?

Good thinking that, just aslong as none of the people on my course see this then I think I'm on a winner

Ask him if he expected to settle into Premier League football as well as he did and if he knew and accepted it was just a matter of time before Gordon was back in goal, regardless of how well he did.

Could ask about the differences in the level of interest in top-flight football between England and Belgium

Ask if he would like to support the Haway The Flags project and get the lads behind it http://**Non GDPR compliant third party tracking link removed**/HTFINFO (shameless i know:lol:)

get some useful info to post back on here. ;)

thoughts on the support of the club? differences in away support considering there's a only a few countries that take away support seriously.

Cheers for the help fellow SMBer's

Yes I will do, apparently he is quite good with the media like so might be able to get some good sound bites :)

what course are you doing at uni marra? And is everyone else on your course a) football fans and b) sunlun fans?

Ask him where abouts the cheapest hotel in Bruges is

Not a hotel, but I stayed in the Snuffel Hostel in Bruges for €17, I was with three other friends and it was four bedroomed so it was like having your own room. The larger rooms were slightly cheaper per person, too.

I'm on the second year of my Sports Journalism course at Sunderland, its brilliant and very interesting, only downside is as part of the course I do have to go to watch a Newcastle game this season. (Tried to get to our game but think I may have dodged a bullet, my mate weren't so lucky) Yes most of the people on my course are football fans but the supprt varies, few of our lot and quite a bit West Ham and Spurs. I have noticed a couple more mags on the course this year, they weren't as vocal last year like.

hmm so the questions from the rest are going to be fairly decent too. Non football fans would probably struggle to interview a footballer but considering it's sports journalism then generally you've got to have an interest in a sport of some description to enjoy writing about and discussing it.

I know, but I only checked my emails an hour ago and lots of people may have went through Newcastle tonight for the student night. So I'm hoping that by noticing early i may be able to get in their early and have the questions prepared. As I say it was meant to be Henderson and I had loads of questions relating to England, win at Chelsea, the derby, ambitions for the season etc.

Ask him about the Belgian national team and the fact that most rate it as one of the best young teams in Europe destined for good things (check the players out that they have and their age).
