Induction hobs

When i had a new kitchen put in its wjat put me off

I have really good pans and didnt want to discard them.. I like to give my wok a good shake too. Something about gas hobs for me

We have induction and also needed new pans.

The induction hobs we've had - we moved house, so 2 - have been ace.

The wok thing is a big miss as induction just aren't as good as gas

Gas is far superior to anything else when frying.

Definitely prefer gas, you get much better control of the temperature, but don’t prefer it enough to go to the faff of changing it.

Gas is far superior to anything else when frying.

Anything cast iron will work on induction

What sort of pans won't work on an induction hob ? We've just bought one .

Pans need to be magnetic. If you have a magnet handy you can check if yours will work.

can you get something to make pans that won’t otherwise work on them, work? Apart from a new hob.

My parents had one fitted and just wasn't as good as a gas cooker for some reason. Always seemed to burn when left to simmer

Far better imo. The ability to instantly change between ferocious or gentle simmer is needed.

Just noticed with the appliance im using, and shower.

Id rather have electric as im paying much less
