India v England series

No apology required whatsoever

It is though, I’ve provided evidence from an earlier post that I did in fact call the dubiousness of the bounce on DRS earlier on. You called it sour grapes, but my first mention of it was when Crawley was given not out. I’m not keen on being called a liar, which you insinuated when you said I hadn’t said anything about the Crawley ‘not out’.

Call me partisan, biased, a twat, no bother. Don’t call me a liar though.

If root had inserted India, do you think they would be 100 for 8 now with the england spin leach and root bowling 29 overs out of the 39?

I’m disappointed with the approach to this whole series to be honest, we win the first test, then completely change the team, players go home and lo and behold allow India to dominate.

picking team full of seam on wickets that have been doctored to spin from the first hour of the test. If I can see this, what the hell are the manager, analysts etc etc involved doing?

It’s easy for the umpires though to give players out with drs. They are right in both instances on umpires call, that’s the problem. Give not out, India review umpires call, review retained, give out England review, umpires call, review retained

that anomaly has been around for a while with drs and especially Mikey hates it
I agree Carty there is a debate to be had with DRS and umpires call but which way do you go .?
If it’s hitting the stumps do you get rid of DRS or umpires call
It’s a fine line and I wouldn’t want the human error element taken out of the game

So lads....England batted abysmylly no doubts on that but
No side on replay shown for ishants wicket with no ball either side
2 close lbws given when batsman hit above knee roll or with sharp spin (crawley given not out yet hitting bails somehow) DRS showing them clipping....
Jack leach caught yet camera behind appears to show it bounce and yet no zoom in or other camera angle until after given out.

I think the onfield umpires have been pretty decent for the tests but there has just seemed something off with the decisions using technology since England won the 1st test

Absolutely. That’ll be the lasting legacy too. Vaughan (he’s still a gobshite 80% of the time) called it right on Tuffers and Vaughan, you win the first Test with Anderson, Archer and Bess taking crucial wickets, especially with regards Anderson having the wood over most of the Indian batsmen, historically. Consider too the express pace potential of Archer.

Then when you rock up for the Second Test those three aren’t playing. India batsmen must’ve been laughing their cocks off.

Brod wicket - spinning past off.

If there were agreed for players to go home, they should have gone home from the Sri Lanka series. These are a real top team and fannying around letting better players leave smacks of we don’t give a shit and try to beat them

will they be doing it in Australia? Yes staying in the bubbles are a nightmare but they are representing the country and have been handsomely rewarded for doing so.

very disappointing. This is out anarl, umpires call at worst
