India v England series

Enjoyed that apart from the iffy/village* umpiring like

* delete as you see fit

Another two wickets and I think it would have been our day tbh. Pant could easily put this game well beyond our reach tomorrow like.

Im not so sure it’ll be a better day to bat!

England will do very well to not lose this match by ten wickets or an innings.

If they bat for 45 minutes to an hour tomorrow and chance their arm, they’ll be 350-400 and there’s very little chance we’ll surpass that total over two innings given the state of this wicket. Like Strauss just said, it’s a day four pitch and it’s not going to get better.

India have gambled the series on winning the toss here and it’s looking like a good gamble. I hope English groundstaff are growing the grass by about three inches for Anderson, Broad and Woakes to have some fun on in the summer against these
Don’t worry man 🙂 have some faith

As there won’t be any spectators/corporates to milk (although I know which of the two is more likely if possible) for five days I’d like to see a lot of grass left on pitches across the country when they’re here this summer

Dont remember him talking down to his fellow commentators the way Butcher's being spoken too or spoken over is disgusting, surprised hes not thumped them
He was trying to be as polite and diplomatic as possible as well. Should have just told them straight what he thought of the decision and umpire, it would have been hilarious to see the Indian commentators reactions to that.
Compare the indian commentators to the class of Ramiz when he commentates on Pakistan....night and day
Mind you, can you remember Waqar getting his knickers in a twist when he couldn't understand umpires call. Tbf, I think it was relatively new at the time.

Well that’s sometimes we to honest wickets in the summer should be prepared for our bowlers.

Only managed to watch little bits here and there but seen some on twitter commenting about some umpire decisions and the different camera angles used for the run out.

What have I missed here?

Good day's cricket. Sometimes there's little you can do when a world class batsman is in form, and was superb to watch at times. Great tenacity from England's bowlers, too, and never let their heads drop. We're still in this game which, throughout the afternoon session, I thought was passing us by.
