Picking Kartick was the safe option. If, and with the white ball its a big if, the ball is moving around and they're 2 or 3 down early on, it maybe smarter to have an older bat coming in rather than a young flair player like Pant.
Besides, theres a t20 world cup in 18 months. Throw him in then if he keep going like he is.

Looks a talent, if you look at their line up, lot of very good players but you'd say they lack a bit of power if anything
