Even in this day and age people have a choice. If you want to read Roker Report tweets, articles and news you can.
If you think it’s misleading, amateur and click bait don’t.
It’s really that simple.
I don’t have anything to do with Roker Report but I have a look at some of their stuff. Some of it is good , some is meh, but I read it and make my own mind up if I agree with it or believe it.
I don’t get the hate from some people towards what is in effect a group of Sunderland supporters who are passionate about their club.

Agree totally

Some clickbait headlines of yours recently...

  • Are Sunderland the club who have bid for Jack Baldwin?
  • Where is Lyle Taylor headed? It looks like he’s signed for someone - but is that club Sunderland?
  • Hundreds of millions of pounds flood into Sunderland AFC’s coffers: investment or payment?
  • ROKER ROUNDUP: Are Sunderland the ‘big, big club’ that had an offer turned down for defender?
  • ROKER ROUNDUP: Sunderland set to miss out again?
  • Sunderland owner gives damning update on the futures of current players - how many want to stay?

That top article headline you’ve quoted is a roundup of various transfer news and rumours regarding the club. When you click on the link it contains actual news that any Sunderland fan who wants to know about transfers would consider worth reading. The answer to the headline question is actually answered in the article that our owner has confirmed we are interested in Jack Baldwin, and the owner of Peterborough says Baldwin is the subject of a bid. The framing of the story as a question seems legit as the facts don’t quite confirm that we’ve bid for him. I don’t see the problem.

Pretty much speaks to a problem about attitudes towards the media in general. Unthinking tribalism and an inability to engage critical faculties when presented with facts and/or opinions; perhaps more specifically with conflating the two.

At this time of year my raging addiction is out of control and I need a SAFC fix about once an hour. In the past I've never cared whether it was dirty a fix or clean as long as I got some new information about transfers on a regular basis. Having RR getting genuine information from the "horses' mouth is like getting methadone on regular tap as you know it's quality info and it helps keep my addiction at bay. Keep up the good work lads you are keeping me out of re-hab.
I know the feeling dying for information, I think it’s about time people appreciate what RR have done, they are not professional journalists after all, keep up the good work lads some of us like what you do.

The only thing I like is the podcasts with the owners. They were first class. Look forward to the next one.

I agree.

I think the Sunderland AFC social media stuff is great to be honest whether its RTG, ALS or RR etc and most do it voluntarily. In the social media world it is so easy to be critical and almost everyone thinks they are the expert so fair play to them in what they do despite those that whinge on.

Don't get the vitriol of some people towards RR.

There's some good articles on there by people who give a shit about the club. I prefer to go on there to get the transfer rumour roundup than trawl through NewsNow every time. The podcast is good too.

As others have said. Don't read shit you don't want to. I hate the Daily Mail so I don't go on their god awful website. Maybe I should anyway then moan like a twat about it on here?

If all people want to do is to bemoan the output of others that has zero effect on them then they need to take a look at themselves and what it says about them.
