Wow! ..... I cant believe anybody is complaining about the RR getting and feeding information? ...... I think its brilliant of the club to give it to them and I am quite enjoying how they are delivering it ...... so much better than trawling through all the shite journos Twitter pages trying to work out what is fact and what is just lazy guesses .... I say keep up the good work lads :)

So, errr... everything, then? The whole point of any weblink or header is to make you click it and read it.

Yeah but there's ways of doing it.

If you've got solid information, report it. You're taking advantage of the fact people now see RR as a reputable source, by printing any old shite knowing it'll get clicks.

You're more than welcome to come on board with RR and write our headlines if you think you can do a better job!
Look mate, it's just constructive criticism. You can be petulant about it if you like but there's a lot of people here and on twitter echoing the same grievance, so it might be better to take it on board rather than blow raspberries.

 How many more people are going to say this as though its truth? It's literally a tweet that links to nowhere. You don't make money from twitter interactions, and even so there's absolutely nothing there saying a new player is coming in. Wish people would just read stuff and make up their own minds on here.

f***ing touchy aren't you?

I wasn't speaking about that tweet specifically.

I'm actually defending RR by saying it's how those type of sites work for exposure and money.
We'd all do it if we were in that position.

Totally agree mate

Precisely not what I'm doing.

FFS man...:oops::lol:
They are a fan-site not BBC news.
Precisely this. We're a collection of about 20 lads fans that are passionate about creating, whether that be writing opinion, news, interviews, recording Podcasts, Youtube TV shows, social media and so on. There's no evil overlord demanding we deliberately mislead Sunderland supporters for clicks. Wish people would recognise that sometimes.

As I said earlier, the alternative is we just stop sourcing news and you just get your gossip from the nationals, and occasionally the local press. Can't win it seems.

I was being serious. More than happy for new contributors to get involved.

Its just a minority mate the majority appreciate it

If you notice, all of those headline examples posted above end in an "?"....

The reason being, they don't (like us) know the answer - but a rumour has surfaced and the article exists simply to make fans aware and discuss it.

We have gone from a wall of silence for years to regular updates in some shape or form, people are still not happy ! Baffles me

Yeah fair point. I was perhaps being unnecessarily snooty about the whole headline/clickbait thing. Apologies. Thanks for putting your time towards it.

I know.

Things change daily, so there's a fine line. We might sign a player today, but if we don't it'll probably happen tomorrow. People don't seem to like not knowing exact details - the truth is that even Jack Ross and Stewart Donald don't know half the time because minor details in negotiations can cause a deal to delay slightly. It doesn't mean people are being misled, it just means things change.

They thought they'd have Flanagan on Wednesday but in the end it came through yesterday, for example. Kamberi was a proper last minute scramble and didn't come off. Taylor took his time deciding what he wanted to do. It is what it is.
