Constant teasing? Where? You're just making this up.
Some clickbait headlines of yours recently...

  • Are Sunderland the club who have bid for Jack Baldwin?
  • Where is Lyle Taylor headed? It looks like he’s signed for someone - but is that club Sunderland?
  • Hundreds of millions of pounds flood into Sunderland AFC’s coffers: investment or payment?
  • ROKER ROUNDUP: Are Sunderland the ‘big, big club’ that had an offer turned down for defender?
  • ROKER ROUNDUP: Sunderland set to miss out again?
  • Sunderland owner gives damning update on the futures of current players - how many want to stay?

Nowhere have we ever done this. Don't be so dramatic

The alternative is that we just stop sharing information that is purposely being passed through to us so that fans can be kept up to date on what is going on. I don't understand why people get their knickers in a twist over it - you don't have to read it, or about it, or follow us on Twitter. If you'd prefer to ignore Roker Report it's very easy to do.

No, I'm not saying that at all. When you have clear information which you can share that's great, and RR has been doing well in that regard under the new ownership.

It's the more cryptic stuff, and the 'Midfielder on his way out?'-type stuff which grates.

And it isn't easy to ignore lately  (that's a compliment)

Guesswork and speculation is what fuels this board at this time of year so I like what RR is doing.

 How many more people are going to say this as though its truth? It's literally a tweet that links to nowhere. You don't make money from twitter interactions, and even so there's absolutely nothing there saying a new player is coming in. Wish people would just read stuff and make up their own minds on here.

I find it staggering how grown men get wound up by it to be honest mate. People need to do exactly as you say and take the info as they wish...

Clickbait implies you are being deliberately mislead when clicking a headline. All of those headlines referred to a story in the article that was not misleading.

No it doesn't:

'
clickbait
ˈklɪkbeɪt/
noun
informal
  1. (on the Internet) content whose main purpose is to attract attention and encourage visitors to click on a link to a particular web page.'

I take clickbait more to be the deliberate withholding & teasing of information in article headlines to lead you to click on the story.

Think of the difference between this as clickbait, and this as a newspaper headline.
Clickbait: Where is Lyle Taylor headed? It looks like he’s signed for someone - but is that club Sunderland?
Newspaper headline: "DONE" - Potential Sunderland target cryptically implies his future has been decided in instagram post

I think people on here ought to educate themselves on what clickbait is.

:lol::lol::lol: People like yourself it would seem!

if you don't like it don't read the fucker there's plenty of people who do like what they write

My point is there's no need for it. If they have information then stick to reporting on it with confidence. Don't encourage rumour just to make more money for themselves.

You're more than welcome to come on board with RR and write our headlines if you think you can do a better job!
