So maybe hold your horses and just report on things once they happen, instead of just drumming up clicks.

You do realise that they have to make a few quid to be able to keep going, right? They're an (not meaning this in a derogatory way) amateur site that over the last month or two have went from having a club that didn't recognise their existence to one that whatsapps them the latest info and it'll take them a while to get the balance between what to say, how to say it and a correct style of cryptic. Give them a chance. For what it's worth, if they become too cryptic, pompous and full of clickbait I'll be one of the first to stop bothering with the but I don't think it's a route they'll go down.

Again, we never put it on the website so no clicks were drummed up. Someone asked on here and I replied saying we were meant to be signing someone. It went through Thursday instead of Wednesday. Tell me, who bar RTG benefitted from those clicks? Away with ye! ;)

Don't blame Roker Report for making click bait shit.

It's how they make the money.

 How many more people are going to say this as though its truth? It's literally a tweet that links to nowhere. You don't make money from twitter interactions, and even so there's absolutely nothing there saying a new player is coming in. Wish people would just read stuff and make up their own minds on here.

I don't know how a tweet can be clickbait? It doesn't link anywhere else.
Didn't mean just the tweet, more the constant teasing and the article headlines. But yeah, it is what it is. I know you need page visits to keep going and I''d still rather have the info coming from you lot than the Chron or Echo. It's just getting a bit cringey the whole "our mate Stewart" schtick

I feel they're already well down that path but fair enough if you don't.

Or they could rack up the clicks, make more £ from advertising and people could stop getting their knickers in a twist over nowt. Sad how little it takes to rile some people it seems.

Okay, but don't then put yourselves up as some sort of bastions of truth who are better than the established press, when you're mirroring some of their methods.

Nowhere have we ever done this. Don't be so dramatic

The alternative is that we just stop sharing information that is purposely being passed through to us so that fans can be kept up to date on what is going on. I don't understand why people get their knickers in a twist over it - you don't have to read it, or about it, or follow us on Twitter. If you'd prefer to ignore Roker Report it's very easy to do.
