This is the reason normally sane people are going postal marra. Nobody expects miracles but we do expect the folks running the club to learn the lessons of the past 2 seasons and beyond. Giving contracts to Brown, buying cheap replacements, bringing in players with no resale value.....it all smacks of amateur hour.

When I have had jobs where I was not set for success for reasons beyond my control, I have wrapped in and gone somewhere else. There are 2 possibilities with Congerton, either he is inept and thinks he is doing enough to improve the team or he hasn't got the balls to tell the owner to invest or he fucks off.

Dick summed it up.....every other club has bought 2 Lens' quality players. Given our starting point we probably needed to buy at least 4
All I want is to see an attacking team playing like Southampton, Stoke and even Leicester do. I don't mind the defeat if they are playing good football but to get beat when we play shite just puts you in a depressed mood, not been many times recently to be positive about in Sunderland. We have a good manager the board need to back him 100% because I can see Advocaat leaving and back to square 1 with another experienced manager.

weve been in this league longer than all 3, we are superior in size yet we manage to get it wrong consistently how can a top level club manage to stand still for 8 consecutive seasons. Really does boil my piss seeing clubs like that attracting top players and finishing in Europe and all weve had is a few derby wins to show for it all. Its f***ing disgusting.

Advocaat will definitely walk if he's not backed

Who told you that? What do you think constitutes backing? I would have thought he was pretty happy with Lens and M'Villa and Coates was clearly his choice. A couple more decent players and he's clearly got what he demanded.

Coates? He said we need 5 or 6 when Coates was already in the team. 3 months on and we haven't got half of what he wanted and we've lost a striker.

If you think he should be happy with that then you're an idiot

Its numbers - he said he wanted 5 or 6 but that didn't include Coates. Lens and M'Villa are clear quality signings. And also don't lower yourself to such childish insults. As I said in another thread some of the comments on here are infantile. Discussion is to be had but really come on you can do better than suggesting someone with an alternative view is an idiot.

Well said

Don't make yourself look like an idiot then.

We've signed Lens, some players of equal quality to what we had and are going through a list of available loan signings and you think this is what he had in mind? Jesus f***ing Christ, I wasn't insulting you, I was pointing out the obvious

People keep saying M'Vila. M'Vila is a gamble, a loan deal to see if he still got it or not. You can't be serious thinking this loan deal means business and Dick should be over the moon.

This isn't a dig at the club in general but the only answer to your question is mismanagement

Soz, you just come across as one of those 'stamping my feet' type. By the way did you used to be someone else on here? I leave it as I see it a little differently.

He clearly is a gamble but some have written him off already - its almost willing him to fail. He could turn out to be the best signing we've had in ages if he plays to his potential. I think Dick will be pleased to have signed him. I guess prior to the Leicester match people thought we'd done OK in terms of signings, with 3 weeks to go. After Leicester the emotions are blasting out of here. I just don't see it quite as disgraceful/shambolic/hateful as some. Not saying I'm chuffed though.

You're getting off topic. Forget that I pointed out you're a buffoon....please elaborate a little more on why Dick would be happy
