Improvement Yet Again

We're 4 points adrift of second bottom and we are going down. Get used to it.[DOUBLEPOST=1387042449][/DOUBLEPOST]We've won 2 of the first 16. You will be surprised or not surprised (depending on how long you have supported the club) at how many of those games we do not win and/or lose. We have all of the top teams to play away. the reality of the situation is, whether you like it or not, we are going down.[DOUBLEPOST=1387042498][/DOUBLEPOST]
What we need are numerous clean sheets and someone to score goals. So far we have achieved precious few of either.

You are failing to look at the overall picture. Feel free to review the sides we have played at home this season.

We have replaced our manager and he is introducing a new playing style. It was embraced today and it's frustrating that we didn't win as we deserved to.

I can't wait for the Norwich game.[DOUBLEPOST=1387043009][/DOUBLEPOST]
I didn't intend on criticising Poyet as he's giving it the best with what we have and I can't see him doing much more

But the performance was poor today.
The passing was neat but when it came to creating or finishing chances we fell far short of requirements

We didn't deserve to win for that reason

Poor?! You are usually overly negative though to be fair.

We played well today. Had we scored a goal we deserved it would have been one of our better performances this season. Results matter most but don't begrudge a good performance. We were well organised and retained possession very well.

We had over 20 attempts away from home.

Agreed, I thought we were excellent. Shame we didn't take our chances but there's no point dwelling on it, that performance has given me faith that we'll be okay. We had 19 attempts at goal today, very encouraging.
Doesn't this just emphasis how utterly, utterly useless Altidore and Borini are. Our best chance was nothing to do with either of them, yet again.

SERIOUSLY GIPETTO , i do agree that gus is improving the team with his coaching , but the glaring lack of quality is obvious.
i think if we had a third midfielder of decent ability to play alongside ki and cats is would be massive ( larsson is a weak link ).
but even if johnson is not in the best of form to leave him on the bench and play a CF out of position cannot be right and borini was poor.
we must beat norwich to keep in touch until gus can get players in next moth. If we lose to norwich after wasting 2 pts today then that 's it .
I think looking at today , given the players WH had out we will struggle to beat norwich.

Yes it was. Borini made a great run but disappointingly shot instead of squared it to Altidore.

Altidore should have won a penalty.

Altidore had a great chance saved. He should have scored admittedly but he's getting in dangerous positions.

one or two basing their opinions on the fact we can now string 3 or 4 passes together. That should be the absolute minimum to expect. West Ham were completely hopeless. We had the freedom of the final third for large parts of the game. If we can't win (home or away) when our opponents give us the key to their back four then we won't win many games. If we don't win many games, we won't stay up.

At least we can pass to a red and white shirt now though. An improvement.

We got a point against a shit team which is better than nothing

We had 2 lightweight itaes in the team and gained this result which is very commendable

We're still going down unless Gus pulls out his magic wand
