Improvement Yet Again

Of course it's an improvement. 2 points and 2 clean sheets in consecutive away games constitutes improvement. It's extremely disappointing that we haven't managed to win either but it IS improvement on our previous away games. May I remind you that we've lost at Hull, stoke and Crystal Palace already this season.

Only the miserable doom merchants are refusing to accept today was an improvement. It's actually quite sad to read, I don't even know why these people bother 'supporting' Sunderland if they give up on the side so easily.

It's working - that was excellent today and but for another turned down penalty appeal, the width of the crossbar or the Jaaskelainen save we'd have gotten the three points we deserved. I could get used to watching this football under Gus.
:p:D
Why don't we give him the freedom of sunderland !
After all we had our best team out and managed a draw v west ham RESERVES.!:evil:

How can you be pleased with that?

Pass it neatly until we arrive near the box and crumble. Ad nauseum.

It was very frustrating yes, but compare that to 95% of games last season, indeed the 1-1 at west ham last time, where we barely had a touch of the ball and scored with our only shot!

It was like that nearly all last season, and we have lost rose, sess, mignolet, N'Diaye , most the best players .

If we didnt have so many games against 10 men last season, and fletchers spell where he scored every chance, we would have been screwed- generally the play under poyet has been promising, retaining the ball, Ki, the defending has been a bit better recently, but he is hampered by a lack of quality or form from our flair players-which he cant do much about.

How was it f***ing excellent when we couldn't score against a team WORSE than us???
Only on this f***ing board man!

We are finally looking more like a team than a bunch of headless chickens. Two probelms though: it might be too late and also the calibre of the players is still among the weakest in the league.

Good on the manager though.

Poyet will do a good job of rebuilding this team. He's just not a miracle worker which is what we need.

This - very good performance today goals aside.
AH, but goals is what the game is all about. It's no use weaving pretty patterns if you can't score against a team as useless as WH.
I just hope Poyet will stay with us in the Championship AND we get a striker.......... Whickham perhaps, that's his level.

Good to see out with a playing style, which is also good to watch and somewhat effective. For me the wide players are just letting us down. Borini, Giacc and Johnson all poor.

Agreed, the wingers didn't do enough today. Kept possession nicely but offered no real threat, Borini isn't good enough.

Keep supporting shite and all you will get is shite simple as that.

Pretty much how I see it.
Can't understand why all our strikers are so shite at the moment though

Just a shame we didn't take them against an utterly shite side then innit? Onwards and upwards though.
