Would make absolutely no sense, unless the club are trying to get some interest (revenue) from the Pakistani community of the NE.....?

I suppose he'd be relatively more cheap than someone like David Warner for example, who is currently unemployed ;).

Really don't see the point at all now.

As for Latham, protective boot removed Monday, could play Tuesday. Personally I feel that's wildly optimistic, I'll just be happy to have him back for the Championship game at Leicester on 8th August.

He's an excellent player. Seems a bit pointless though.

Born in Swansea though so surely doesn't count as an overseas
