Dont you know its cool on here not to support England and want them to lose.

I dont like the manager (should of been sacked) or most the players but always watch England and support them, its were im from, my country I cant change that. Same way I support Sunderland and always have regardless of manager/Players and I cant help that.

Support the country not the individuals....do you think the Welsh will be not supporting Wales because they dont like Bellamy?

Exactly.

Then people say they wont watch cos they dont care about either team but if its on sky theyll sit and watch arsenal vs bolton or whatever.

I watched a lot more of England and cared a lot more about England results when they played across the country. Now they are back at Wembley and are just another London club. The manager has visited the North East twice in his tenure so far - which is a disgrace - and the players are, in the main, a bunch of twats. There is nothing there to tie me to them at all.

Exactly.

More likely to be entertained than with an England match.

When it comes to Sunderland I'll watch any game - even if I know its going to be terrible, terrible football.

If Sunderland arent involved I'll only watch a match if I think it will be entertaining. England vs Wales will be shite. Arsenal vs Bolton is two of the most attack minded sides in the PL. Easy choice for me.

I can't believe I'm saying this.
I have no interest what so ever with that manager in place.
It could be a good thing if we get beat, at least that prick should get the push and we help a British team towards qualification.

You are a bit of a tit like

Care to explain. Until England start picking players on merit and not reputation, until we get a manager with the balls to drop big players when its obvious the system means they cant play together, and while John Terry is England captain.... I'll never feel a real connection the the English National side.

If I had to choose a team to win the World Cup, of course I would choose England, but I wouldnt waste my money going to support them.

You're coming across as one....

zero interest but you start a thread and make several posts.

You support a team because it represents you. Not because you like a certain manager or players. Im english, im sunderland. I'll support both regardless of who is in the shirt or the dugout.

He's not going to get the push now when his contract isn't being renewed after Euro 2012. Support England, not Capello.

I am sawing my legs off in preparation of avoiding the Hawes piss up.

Do you understand the principles of a message board ? if nobody started threads we'd all be working.

You're coming across as a bit of a thicky to be honest.

My point is that the English national team does nothing to make the North East feel included. 2 visits to the North East by the national manager in over 2 years is laughable.

Commenting that Darren Bent is a better player since he moved to villa (6 days after his transfer) is also laughable.

The English side represents me about as much as Newcastle do.

I'll watch it 'cos it's England. I've no affinity with the players and win or lose won't really ruin or make my day.

Good excuse anyways to hit the pub and have a good 'sup. Won't be able to comment on the game, England, the players or the manager afterwards tho as I wasn't there

I'm a big England fan but the points made here say it all about the current situation and muppet in charge.

To top it off I read this morning Lampard might retire if he's not a regular starter for England.

Prize twat, they need to look at Beckham and wear the shirt like it means something to them.

Oh aye, the Terry thing pissed me off an'all.

A lot of the loyal followers of England are from the north and theres a decent amount of northern lads in the england set up Carroll, Rooney, Milner, Downing, Dawson, Hart etc.

Agree with you about Capello its a f***ing disgrace how he cant be arsed to come up here, he's getting paid 6m a year to do this job FFS, sooner hes gone the better but I still want my country to win.

International Football is not as enertaining as the premiership now just look at the world cup...most of it was shit. I still watch England in the pub with a few pints always makes it more entertaining. Should be a decent game with it being against Wales though.

Thats because we have an italian in charge who couldnt give a fuck and cant be arsed to come up here although there is still representation from the north east within the england set up Carroll, Henderson (U21), Wellbeck (U21), Carrick, Downing, Johnson (If fit)

Im not interested in knitting. Im off to start a thread about it

I have absolutley zero interest in it. I'd rather carpet the small bedroom instead.

Anyone else missing the joke of a team play ?

Agree 100%

I used to love watching England. I can't put my finger on it but i'm really not interested in any of them players.

Total disillusionment with the game in general if i'm honest.
