If you were given 5k to spunk…

Trouble is that once you go into the pointy end of the plane you never want to go back to steerage.

12 hours in economy is a killer.
We splashed out last time we flew (look at me etc) and upgraded to premium economy on the Air Canada dreamliner. Even on an 8 hour flight the difference was noticable

As for the OP, would probs get a nice mountain bike and mebbe fit the house with a Sonos system

The way my mind works though, it’s not that many of those upgrades and you’ve added six months extra on the retirement age target. I’d rather try and sleep through the flight.

Ten days in Japan or the Dec white ball Windies tour for me, if it’s one of the better islands.

I think I’d spend it on clothes.
It’s something I don’t spend much on normally. Holidays etc etc are something I do anyways. So a couple of new suits with mix and match attire. Golf clothes etc etc.

As boring as it is, I'd hoy it into the bank. Just got a new job and for the first time (3rd promotion since moving here), I can really afford to "live" in London without scraping by/ accumulating debt. But I don't have any savings at all yet, would be a massive relief really.

If you knew about stuff, you wouldn't be buying EV's marra. It's not 1990 any more, fella and there's far better out there for similar money, these days.
I don't like the newer EV's...the VOX PA column speakers from the 60's were sublime. Eight 12 inch monsters 👍
